1. Male or Female?
By finding out what gender I am targeting my film at
I am able to suit my film stereotypically more to that
gender. Starting from the costume, type of film and
the actors etc.
You can see from my pie chart that I have an equal
amount of males to females.

2. Age?
By establishing the age, this helps me to decide a
lot of things. The pie chart shows that the
majority of my target audience is between 15 and
35 years old, this gives me a wide audience to aim
my film at. From this I can decide that the
certification of my film can be a 15. This also
helps me know whether do add certain
conventions, and make sure that the violence and
the language is appropriate.

3. Genre?
The genre of the film is a big factor
to think about. There was a wide
variety of choices to choose from
in my survey, therefore I could get
an good clue of my target
audiences views. The favourites
were horror and then film noir was
on top.

4. Colour or black and white
In my survey I asked weather they
would prefer to film to be in colour or
black and white as because it’s a film
noir they could expect it to be quite an
old film. Although I am choosing it to a
modern film noir, it could still be black
and white. From this I can see that half
chose black and white and half chose
colour. Although I would like it if my
film was in black and white I don’t
really think it fits well with modern
style film noir but I will still consider
this aspect when creating my trailer.

Conventions help represent what genre the film
is. It’s also an important factor, but also by
finding out what my target audience expect to
see in a film noir, will allow me to include these
within my film trailer and appeal to a wide
audience. From my pie chart I can defer that a
femme fatale should be involved in my film
trailer. Most of the things that were to choose
from are pretty much a must within my film
trailer as well. I will defiantly consider trying to
include most of these conventions were
appropriate in my trailer. Then I will attempting
to meet my target audiences expectations and
provide a good film trailer that will appeal to
them.

6. Independent or large?

Independant
I wanted to find out whether my target audience
preferred films from larger company's or
independent company's. Again half said large and
then half said independent. I feel that my film
should be by an independent British film maker.
But I will do furthermore research into
independent film makers to see if this is the right
option for my film.
