This document profiles the intended audience for a modernized film noir project. It suggests that the target age range is 15-30 year olds, as they will appreciate the up-to-date storyline dealing with modern issues like homosexuality and a teacher-student relationship. Both males and females are expected to be interested - males for the violence and females for the romance. The ideal audience members would be educated individuals who can understand the complex plot and possibly relate to having a crush on a teacher, and who enjoy meaningful films and social interaction.

15-30 year olds are more likely going to enjoy our
modernised Film Noir because it involves an up to
date storyline with modern day issues, including
homosexuality and it is based in a school, with the
two main characters being a teacher and a pupil.
However the young generation are less likely to know
about Film Noir because the films were bought out
in times when the older generation were young so
they are more familiar with them, although our Film
Noir is considered a Neo-Noir so I our audience
age bracket should be around 15-30 year old as
they will appreciate and be interested in the story
line more than the older generation.

3. Gender
I think our film will appeal to both males and females equally,
reason being because there is a lot of focus on this
homosexual relationship between the two females which will
attract the male gaze especially as the female teacher is
attractive and is portrayed in a sexual light. However it will
also appeal to females too because of the attractive male actor
who plays the teachers husband.
It is likely that the females would be attracted to the romantic
side of the film and the males will be attracted to the violent
part of the film where the husband is shot.

4. Hobbies/Interests
The people who will be attracted to our film will be an
educated section who appreciate a good film and
are mature enough to understand the plot and story
line. They may or may not still be in education
themselves by which they can possibly relate to
having a crush on a teacher.
Our audience will be a social group who like
interacting with their friends and like films that have
deep meaning.
