This document summarizes a study that examined attitudes toward different varieties of English among undergraduate students in four English-speaking countries. The study found that respondents had the most positive attitudes toward Australian English and viewed it as sincere, friendly and associated with terms like "Koala" and "sand and sun". United Kingdom English was seen as cultured and associated with terms like "cups of tea" and "ancient times". American English was viewed as casual, friendly but also exaggerated and uncultured. New Zealand English was seen as unfriendly and uncultured. The document provides word clouds illustrating the positive and negative terms associated with each variety by respondents in the study.
