4. No one can control your attitude but its you.
5. No one can make us angry we make our self angry.
6. We have a choice every morning what kind of attitude
we can have for rest of the day.
7. Weakness of attitude become weakness of character.
What comes to your mind?
First & Most Likely
Responses…!!
 Donkey…..!!!!!
 Good for Nothing
 Useless
 Least Glamorous
 Taken for Granted animal
 ….seldom we get response that the donkey is one of the
“hard working” animals and loyal.
How is our Attitude…?
 We treat people and situation in the same manner as
we do with the donkey.
 We discount the good in them …!
 We only look at the Negative side & start reacting…..
Isn’t it?
STOP
THINK
ACT
REACT
REACT
 First we take ACTION
 then we STOP
 then we THINK.. and feel guilty about our behaviour
 That is why others say.. “Attitude Problem”
The 10 - 90 Rule
 10% is what happens
 90% is how to react/respond to what happens and
that’s your attitude
How much do you see of an Iceberg?
THE ICEBERG
 10% is above the Sea
Level – 90% is below
the Sea
 Similarly
 10% is our
Knowledge & Skills
 90% is Attitude
STOP
THINK
ACT
Lets start by pressing the
PAUSE Button & RESPOND
Lets RESPOND instead of REACTING
 Press the PAUSE button
 STOP
 THINK and
 ACT
 You always have the freedom to Choose..!
How to make these CHOICES..?
How to change Thoughts, Feelings & Behavior ..?
Step 1
Make a DECISION today to CHANGE
 Start with the First Step
today
 DECIDE today – with
which person, people,
situation, circumstances,
tasks…. You will change
your ATTITUDE
we have to change from doubter to believer
 If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't
grow, we aren't really living. -Gail Sheehy
 Those who cannot change their minds cannot
change anything. -George Bernard Shaw
 To improve is to change; to be perfect is to
change often. -Winston Churchill
 Change your thoughts and you change your
world. -Norman Vincent Peale
 If you don't like something, change it. If you
can't change it, change your attitude. -Maya
Angelou
Step 2
Shift your FOCUS
 Focus on What’s Right
v/s What is Wrong
 Focus on What you Do
Have v/s What you
don’t
 Focus on Solutions
then on Problems
Step 3
Be more CURIOUS instead of Judgmental
 Instead of Blaming
and Complaining be
curious to ask
yourself a
Question…Why is
this person or
situation like that…?
 What can I change
here in this situation
or with this person.
Indira Nooyi
Step 4
Develop an Attitude of GRATITUDE
 “I was crying for a pair of
shoes until I saw a man
without legs; I thanked God
that at least I have legs”
 Find something appreciate
in tough time / tough
person / tough situation
now
 Whenever you feel down,
depressed, frustrated see
what can be acknowledged
Exercise: Convert the following
into GRATITUDE
 “I am so weak in economics subject”
 “My height is short; its my biggest drawback.
 “I can’t remember anything, my memory is weak”
 “There is always a problem here”
 “All others are so confident, I am nervous, I will fail”
 “My face is not so attractive, I am not able to attract others”
 “I belong to middle class family that’s why could not study
in a big college.
Step 5
Decide Not to be Perfect all the time
 Stop having high
expectation from
yourself and others
 When Expectations do
not match .. That is the
beginning of
negatives..!!
Step 6
Believe in Yourself  This is not an inflated
EGO but when you
think and Feel Good
about Your self...then
you are able to see the
same in others too.
 What ever you believe
you achieve
D Manjhi
Step 7
Take Action … Now
 You can’t just stand before
the mirror and shout
“Positive Attitude”
 Stop “Procrastination” and
Start Now
 Write down for the Next 7
Days…an Action Plan
Name :- _____________________________________________
2 things that I would START doing
2 things that I would STOP doing
2 things that I would CONTINUE doing
Make a list of the things you would like to change about yourself. With timeline.
The 7 Steps Approach
1. Make a DECISION today to CHANGE
2. Shift your FOCUS
3. Be more CURIOUS instead of Judgmental
4. Develop an Attitude of GRATITUDE
5. Decide Not to be Perfect all the time
6. Believe in Yourself
7. Take Action … Now
The Choice is YOURS
 With a Bad attitude
you can never have a
positive day
 With a Positive
Attitude you can
never have a bad day
You can get water by digging 50 feet in one place, not by digging 1
feet in 50 places! Consistency & Regular efforts Work
 “If you fail, never give up because
F.A.I.L. means "first Attempt In Learning"
 End is not the end, in fact
E.N.D. means "Effort Never Dies"
 If you get No as an answer, remember
N.O. means "Next Opportunity".
So Let's be positive.
 "Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Can I quit
We all know the story of David and Goliath. There was a giant
who was bullying and harassing the children in the village. One
day, a 17-year-old shepherd boy came to visit his brothers and
asked, "Why don't you stand up and fight the giant?" The
brothers were terrified and they replied, "Don't you see he is too
big to hit?" But David said, "No, he is not too big to hit, he is too
big to miss." The rest is history. We all know what happened.
David killed the giant with a sling. Same giant, different
perception.
1. Environment
2. Experience
3. Education
Environment consists of the following:
Home: positive or negative influences
School: peer pressure
Work: supportive or over critical supervisor
Media: television, newspapers, magazines, radio, movies
Cultural background
Religious background
Traditions and beliefs
Social environment
Political environment
Our behavior changes according to our
experiences with people and events in our
life. If we have a positive experience with a
person, our attitude toward him becomes
positive and vice versa.
Two kind of education, I refer to both formal and
informal education.
Education plays a very important role in our
success or failure, Education need not only to earn
money but it should teach us how to live our life
Power is hidden -
 If you are looking for –
• Power find in your self.
• Success find the way in yourself.
• Happiness find in your self.
• Wisdom find in your self
Your Attitude determines your Altitude in Life
 Ability is what you’re capable of doing
 Motivation determines what you do
 Attitude determines how well you do it
What do you think about this
Situation?
What is PMA?
 A Positive Mental Attitude(PMA) is all about
maintaining the belief that you can transform difficult
situations in to something you’d much rather have.
 it’s all about empowering yourself!
PMA
 PMA is focusing on
taking responsibility of
yourself and your
situation
 Taking action on what
can be done now, instead
of blaming, complaining
& criticizing others
What is not PMA
 Getting away from
taking responsibility is
not PMA
 It’s not about faking it
 It’s never about lying to
yourself
 It’s also not just about
blah, blah, blah…
How to Develop PMA
1. Focus on the Present
Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is Mystery
Today is the Gift of God, that is why it is called as
Present
Acharya Shree Yogesh
2. Use Positive Words & Language
Blind Man
 Positive Words
 1. Definitely
2. Surely
3. Absolutely
4. Certainly
5. Fantastic
 Example Use
 • I definitely will make sure that it gets sorted…
• You will surely be able to enjoy…
• I absolutely agree…
• I can certainly help you…
• That is a fantastic alternative…
3. Focus on what you have rather
than what is not
Despite having no arms or legs, Dustin Carter made it to the third
round of the Ohio state wrestling championship.
Dustin Carter
4. Count your blessings, make a list
of gratitude
Worries
 “WHEN I START COUNTING MY BLESSINGS, MY
WHOLE LIFE TURNED AROUND,” – WILLIE NELSON
 COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS:
 This is the first step of being optimistic about life, because
the human mind is a unique machine, whether it find
positive in something or negative. If we say we are neutral,
then we actually never know when that neutral status
turned into negative. To create a life of pure abundance
counting positive things is our beginning of a true
abundance life. The more positive we look into the more
blessed we feel. When we start counting the blessings, we
start attracting good and only good things to us. When all
the good things come to us, it gift us happiness and our
happiness made us abundance. So the story of your
abundant life begin from counting your blessings.
True Abundance is about
feeling happiness for all that
we have in our life and this
happiness comes when we
count our blessings.
5. Everything need not be Perfect
all the time
 “For everything in this journey of life we are on, there
is a right wing and a left wing:
 For the wing of love there is anger;
 For the wing of destiny there is fear;
 For the wing of pain there is healing;
 For the wing of hurt there is forgiveness;
 For the wing of pride there is humility;
 For the wing of giving there is taking;
 For the wing of tears there is joy;
 For the wing of rejection there is acceptance;
 For the wing of judgment there is grace;
 For the wing of honor there is shame;
 For the wing of letting go there is the wing of keeping.
6. Be Ready to Learn from Mistakes
7. Rise up after every Failure
Derek
8. Challenge the Circumstances
Arunima sinha
9. Visualize
10. The Serenity Prayer
Oh God, Grant me,
The Serenity
to Accept the things that I cannot Change,
The Courage
to Change the things that I can, and
The Wisdom
to Understand the difference between the two.
11. Practice Positive Affirmations
INSTEAD OF BLAMING DARKNESS,
LIGHT A CANDLE IF YOU CAN!
STOP BLAMING;
INSTEAD TAKE ACTION
 The Winner is always part of the answer;
…The Loser is always part of the problem.
The Winner always has a program; …….
…The Loser always has an excuse.
 The Winner says, "It may be difficult but it is possible";
The Loser says, "It may be possible but it is too difficult."
When a Winner makes a mistake, he says, "I was wrong";
When a Loser makes a mistake, he says, "It wasn't my fault."
Winners say, "I must do something";
Losers say, "Something must be done."
Winners are a part of the team;
Losers are apart from the team.
Winners see the potential;
Losers see the past.
Winners are like a thermostat;
Losers are like thermometers.
Let me teach -
 React and respond.
 7 step approach.
 How to develop PMA.
 Circle of life.
A– “7 step approach.”
B - “React and respond.”
D– “How to develop PMA”
C– “Circle of life.”
We are looking forward to
contribute in your success
journey
