5. Tujuan Penelitian
Dari penelitian ini nantinya akan diperoleh data laju korosi atmosferik pada
baja kontruksi di beberapa kawasan sekitar Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar yang
terkena dampak tsunami 2004.
Manfaat Penelitian
1. Tersedianya data korosivitas atmosferik baja Kontruksi dikawasan
terendam tsunami.
2. Data tersebut nantinya akan menjadi referensi bagi pihak yang
berwenang dalam perencanaan tata ruang kawasan tersebut.
3. Data penelitian ini dapat menjadi data pelengkap penelitian
sebelumnya dan menjadi referensi bagi peneliti tentang korosi
atmosferik selanjutnya.
Batasan Masalah
Penelitian ini hanya di batasi pada pengukuran laju korosi
Atmosferik di empat lokasi penelitian yaitu : Ulee Lheu (Gedung
TDMRC Ground Zero), Peukan Bada, Lingke dan Lampulo.
Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kehilangan
berat.

• Hasil penelitian dari dua lokasi tambahan menunjukkan bahwa nilai laju korosi tertinggi dilokasi
Lampulo dengan nilai angka laju korosi 0,2 - 1,8 mpy, dan yang terendah adalah dilokasi Lingke dengan
nilai angka laju korosi 0,1 – 1,4 mpy.
• Untuk lokasi TDMRC dan Peukan Bada baja segi empat dan baja tulangan memiliki laju korosi yang
paling tinggi. Lokasi Lingke dan Lampulo baja siku dan baja tulangan yang memiliki tingkat laju korosi
yang paling tinggi. Untuk semua lokasi baja plat relatif lebih tahan terhadap korosi.
• Laju korosi yang paling tinggi di Lokasi Gedung TDMRC Ground Zero Ulee Lheu dan yang paling
rendah di lokasi Peukan Bada
Saran
• Setiap lokasi ada alat pencatat keadaan klimatologi untuk mendapatkan keakurasian data klimatologi di
lokasi penelitian.
• Melihat komposisi spesimen uji.
• Data pengukuran laju korosivitas atmosferik dilakukan melebihi data setahun.
