This preschool newsletter outlines activities for the week of November 9-14. The children will work on fine motor skills like cutting and drawing. On Friday, there will be a cake sale to raise money for Children in Need, and the children have been asked to color Pudsey bears to display. Parents are asked to donate homemade cakes and help with the cake stall on Friday to support the Children in Need fundraiser.

1. Preschool Year 2

9 – 14 November
Activities we will be doing in Preschool
 This week we will be concentrating on developing the children’s fine
motor control. They will have the opportunity to cut, thread, pour, draw
and take part in action songs to help develop the necessary strength and
coordination needed for writing.
 On Friday, Children in Need day, we will be having a cake stall in the
Preschool room (as well as the Rainbow Café) so that the children will be
able to choose a homemade cake and eat it for their break.
Activities to do at home
 You should have all received a Pudsey bear for your child to colour in.
Please bring these back to Preschool by Wednesday so that we can make a
display of them in the Rainbow café on Friday. The children will also be
making bunting in Preschool to decorate the cake stall.
Notices
 Friday is Children in Need day and we are having a cake sale in the
Rainbow Café from 9.10 in the morning and 1.10 in the afternoon. Please
if you can make any cakes or help out on the stall let us know. You can eat
your cake in the Rainbow café or take them home. The Rainbow café will
not be charging for drinks that day but will be collecting money for
Children in Need instead. We really do need your support to make this a
successful and fun event.
 As Christmas is getting nearer the children will start to make their Nativity
Stables so we need plenty of adult sized shoe boxes. Please ask around
family and friends and bring in any you can find this week.
