‘Roses Are Red’

The main reason why i liked this one is
because of the unique idea. The font and
girly style of handwriting has made a
perfect match with the score music and
made it very entertaining. It was a great
intro for an audience to enjoy.

Poor Example

Sophie Barrett

The angles were so inaccurate
that mainly you
could see blank walls and stairs
instead of purpose of this scene.

The vintage effect really didnt
match to the image and
modern looking intro.

After watching this, I knew
what the story could be about.
It means that the storyline was
too clear and the clip gave it
away.

Vindictive Grounds

•

A close up shot and mysterious
music helped engage the
audience from the start.

Also kept the suspense.

•

There was little enigmas throughout
that made the message clear.

•

A variety if transitions were
used to show time moving.

•

•

Also helped engage the
audience to not realise the
length of the opening
sequence.
Poor Example

A History Of Love

•

At the start there was a
tilt.

•

The non diegetic score music
jumped from scene to scene.

•

The Camera was shaky.

•

It was a sharp change and the
score music never changed
smoothly.

Therefore the message wasn't
clear.

•

It's changed the mood in
atmosphere.

The enigmas wasn't clear.

•

•

•

EBI- The message of the
opening sequence was clear.
Courtney Buabeng

Good Example.

A Schools Nightmare.

•

•

Different angles of the car. Out and
in, referring back to the boy
walking, building the climax.

The editing when the boy fades, precise and
insightfully used, showing the time passing.

•

The accuracy of
the camera whilst
tracking. (No
shaking.)
Poor Example.

Sophie Barrett-Karma.

•

Whilst filming, the camera was shaking
and the screen/shot isn’t clear at all,
making it look very amateur and rushed.
•

•

The sound of wind is very
prominent in this shot. Also
The lighting makes the
scene looks unclear and
amateur. Also, they didn’t
edit it so the effect of the
scene looks dull and just
mainly boring.

Again, this shot was also very shaky.
I also noticed the tripod was not
used in the process of filming or was
hand held, in result, it made this
shot canted.
