2. What did the audience like about it?
- Thought it had good potential to develop on it in order to create a
good opening title sequence.
- Location is very ideal as it has various types of terrain, in particular a
good forest.
- Music was suited to the genre.
- Incorporated a lot of shots and included some very good ones.
3. What did the audience dislike about it?
- Story was quite confusing and had a few plot holes.
- Long build-up. Preference to a much shorter one.
- At times, very tacky.
- Thought it was more funny than it was scary.
- Wasn’t enough climatic build-ups in order for the placement of a
jump scare.
- Sound level needed adjusting as it was out of place in some parts.
- A lot of shots were out of focus.
4. Recommendations
- Tamper around with the story as it needs a bit more development.
- Include more blood in the ‘OTS’ as at the minute it has very little in
what should actually be used in a film sub-genre of backwoods or
slasher.
- Make the killer more intimidating or make him more unknown.
5. What will we change for Draft 2?
- Add more fake blood and aspects where we believe will make the
sequence more ‘realistic’.
- Find new ideas to incorporate as well as taking some out.
- Make the killer more intimidating and scary in order for the audience
to take it more seriously as a horror movie.
