5. WHAT IS A DIGIPAK?
A digipak is a package which contains a cd or DVD.
Its usual size is 140x140x6 mm
The digipak most often has 4 panels, however it is possible to get 6,8
and 10.
The information included is often: name of the artist, title of the album,
track list, record labels and some extra information.
The front is usually a cover, the back usually shows track list and the
inside has a CD and often some other information or pictures of the
artist.
The cd is usually located on the plastic in the inside
The photographs and graphics have to be linked to the genre and the
artist. This is very important as it will bring put their USP.
The artist may not always be featured as their unique style is different
from others, and will make the album more sucessful with graphics.
The artists branding is very important as it will be shown on the digipak,
however as the artist evolves that image may change.
