A digipak is a type of packaging commonly used for CDs, DVDs, and video games. It has a foldable design like a book, with an outer paper or cardboard packaging and an interior plastic compartment. Standard sizes are 5.45" x 4.95" x 0.25" for single discs and 5.5" x 4.95" x 0.44" for double discs. The front features the artist name and album title along with promotional images. Track listings and other details are on the back. The disc is housed in a transparent plastic compartment in the center, sometimes with additional artwork. Interior pages may include lyrics, artist messages, and information.

3. What is a Digipak
 A digipak is packaging used on DVDs, CDs and games.
 It is a registered trade mark of AGI media
 They commonly have a gatefold, as a book would.
 The outer packaging is usually made of paper or card, and
the interior packaging is made of plastic.
 They're more used for special releases.
 Sizes- Standard size ‘CD style’ digipak with one disk (can be
4 or 6 panels), 5.45”W x 4.95”H x 0.25”D. 2
disk digipak (again, 4 or 6 panels): 5.5”W x 4.95”H x 0.44”D

4. Front
The front of a digipak
includes the names of the
artist and the album. It may
also include some of the
names of the hits on the
album
The picture on the front of a digipak is
important, as it is supposed to grab the
attention of a customer. The artist is often
included in the picture on the front, as their
fan base will see it and want to buy it.
The front of a digipak will also often
include a ‘Parental guidance’ sticker,
warning parents if the CD has explicit
tracks on it

5. Inside
The CD is kept in the middle compartment. This
plastic is commonly transparent with an image
behind it which stays in the theme of the CD
The inside of the
digipak often includes
some information
about the album, such
as song lyrics and
some information
about the artist.
Inside the digipak there
may also be personal
messages from the
artist.

6. Back
The back of a digipak will have a list of
the tracks on the album.
The back of the digipak will also contain the
barcode, which is needed to price it.
The back also includes the business sideof
things, including the record label, the date it
was released, copyright details etc.
