The document provides a design for a coastal care eLearning community called Theresa's Coastal Care Experience. It includes storyboards depicting key features like home and social media pages. Facebook and Flickr are proposed for social media to share articles, photos and encourage discussion. Governance elements like terms of conduct and funding sources are addressed. Course offerings, forums, projects and resources are outlined as design elements. The technology used for the site and collaboration is also discussed.

14. Facebook
• Facebook will allow the community's moderators to publish articles of interest and post topics we want participants
to comment on.
• Facebook is a resource to record written communications which can then be archived.
• It can be used as a platform for sharing chain messages, published on bulletin boards, about different events
occurring at local and state level in any of the four topics.
• Facebook is an asynchronous tool and part of BYOD technology, therefore it allows our learners to monitor our
community for new activity or comments any time, anywhere.

Flickr
• Photo sharing on Flickr will allow Coastal Care to share photos related to animal, land, water and marine topics.
• It will be used as our primary photo storage site.
• Photos can be browsed by category, and moderators can include annotations and apply notesections.
• This allows experts to ask specific questions to the participants about the photos, encouraging comments and
reflections.
• Photos can belong to several sets. For example, photos of pollution can be seen and accessed whether the
participant is completing a water course or a land course.
