John Miller is the information security and privacy officer of a local county-owned teaching hospital. He is new to his position and began his work by evaluating the existing security and privacy controls that are in place in the institution. On November 24, 2014, a hacker group called the “Guardians of Peace” or
GOP successfully attacked Sony Pictures Entertainment (www.sonypictures.com;
SPE). The attackers obtained personally identifiable information about 47,000
current and former SPE employees and their dependents. These materials included
numerous sensitive e-mails among top SPE executives concerning actors, financial
deals, and creative disagreements; executive salaries; and complete copies of
unreleased Sony films. The information included names, addresses, social security
numbers, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, bank account information,
credit card information used for corporate travel and expenses, usernames and
passwords, and compensation and other employment-related information. The
hackers claimed to have stolen more than 100 terabytes of data from SPE.
The GOP initially released the most damaging information over the Internet.
This information consisted of digital copies of SPE films that had been released (e.g.,
Fury) or were yet to be released (e.g., Annie). In addition, the attackers announced
they would continue to release more interesting SPE information.
Although the specific motives for the attack had not been revealed as of mid-
2016, the hack has been linked to the planned release of the SPE film The Interview.
In this movie, producers of a tabloid television show learn that North Korea's leader,
Kim Jong Un, is a big fan of the show, and they set up an interview with him. While
the show's team is preparing for the interview, the CIA recruits them to assassinate
Kim Jong Un.
Prior to the Sony hack, North Korean officials had expressed concerns about
the film to the United Nations. The officials stated that “to allow the production and
distribution of such a film on the assassination of an incumbent head of a sovereign
state should be regarded as the most undisguised sponsoring of terrorism as well as
an act of war.”
On December 16, 2014, the GOP mentioned The Interview by name, and they
threatened to take terrorist actions against the film's New York City premiere at
Sunshine Cinema on December 18. The GOP also threatened similar actions on the
film's America-wide release date of December 25 (Christmas).
On December 18, two messages allegedly from the GOP appeared. The first
claimed that the GOP would not release any further information if SPE agreed not to
release The Interview and to remove it completely from the Internet. The second

stated that SPE had “suffered enough” and it could release the film, but only if Kim
Jong Un's death scene was not “too happy.”
In the aftermath of the attack, the studio was forced to use fax machines, to

One of the first cases that inspired Freud in the development of what would eventually become the Psychoanalytic Theory was the case of Anna O. Anna O. was actually a patient of one of Freud’s colleagues Josef Breuer. Using Breuer’s case notes, Freud was able to analyze the key facts of Anna O’s case.
Anna O. first developed her symptoms while she was taking care of her very ill father with whom she was extremely close. Some of her initial symptoms were loss of appetite to the extent of not eating, weakness, anemia, and development a severe nervous cough. Eventually she developed a severe optic headache and lost the ability to move her head, which then progressed into paralysis of both arms. Her symptoms were not solely physical as she would vacillate between a normal, mental state and a manic-type state in which she would become extremely agitated. There was even a notation of a time for which she hallucinated that the ribbons in her hair were snakes.
Toward the end of her father’s life she stopped speaking her native language of German and instead only spoke in English. A little over a year after she began taking care of her father he passed away. After his passing her symptoms grew to affect her vision, a loss of ability to focus her attention, more extreme hallucinations, and a number of suicidal attempts (Hurst, 1982).
Both Freud and Jung would acknowledge that unconscious processes are at work in this woman's problems. However, they would come to different conclusions about the origin of these problems and the method by which she should be treated.

On November 24, 2014, a hacker group called the “Guardians of Peace” or
GOP successfully attacked Sony Pictures Entertainment (www.sonypictures.com;
SPE). The attackers obtained personally identifiable information about 47,000
current and former SPE employees and their dependents. These materials included
numerous sensitive e-mails among top SPE executives concerning actors, financial
deals, and creative disagreements; executive salaries; and complete copies of
unreleased Sony films. The information included names, addresses, social security
numbers, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, bank account information,
credit card information used for corporate travel and expenses, usernames and
passwords, and compensation and other employment-related information. The
hackers claimed to have stolen more than 100 terabytes of data from SPE.
The GOP initially released the most damaging information over the Internet.
This information consisted of digital copies of SPE films that had been released (e.g.,
Fury) or were yet to be released (e.g., Annie). In addition, the attackers announced
they would continue to release more interesting SPE information.
Although the specific motives for the attack had not been revealed as of mid-
2016, the hack has been linked to the planned release of the SPE film The Interview.
In this movie, producers of a tabloid television show learn that North Korea's leader,
Kim Jong Un, is a big fan of the show, and they set up an interview with him. While
the show's team is preparing for the interview, the CIA recruits them to assassinate
Kim Jong Un.
Prior to the Sony hack, North Korean officials had expressed concerns about
the film to the United Nations. The officials stated that “to allow the production and
distribution of such a film on the assassination of an incumbent head of a sovereign
state should be regarded as the most undisguised sponsoring of terrorism as well as
an act of war.”
On December 16, 2014, the GOP mentioned The Interview by name, and they
threatened to take terrorist actions against the film's New York City premiere at
Sunshine Cinema on December 18. The GOP also threatened similar actions on the
film's America-wide release date of December 25 (Christmas).
On December 18, two messages allegedly from the GOP appeared. The first
claimed that the GOP would not release any further information if SPE agreed not to
release The Interview and to remove it completely from the Internet. The second

stated that SPE had “suffered enough” and it could release the film, but only if Kim
Jong Un's death scene was not “too happy.”
In the aftermath of the attack, the studio was forced to use fax machines, to

One of the very first cases that caught Freud’s attention when he was starting to develop his psychoanalytic theory was that of Anna O, a patient of fellow psychiatrist Josef Breuer. Although Freud did not directly treat her, he did thoroughly analyze her case as he was fascinated by the fact that her hysteria was “cured” by Breuer. It is her case that he believes was the beginning of the psychoanalytic approach.
Through your analysis of this case, you will not only look deeper into Freud’s psychoanalytic theory but also see how Jung’s neo-psychoanalytic theory compares and contrasts with Freud’s theory.

The Case of Anna O.
One of the first cases that inspired Freud in the development of what would eventually become the Psychoanalytic Theory was the case of Anna O. Anna O. was actually a patient of one of Freud’s colleagues Josef Breuer. Using Breuer’s case notes, Freud was able to analyze the key facts of Anna O’s case.
Anna O. first developed her symptoms while she was taking care of her very ill father with whom she was extremely close. Some of her initial symptoms were loss of appetite to the extent of not eating, weakness, anemia, and development a severe nervous cough. Eventually she developed a severe optic headache and lost the ability to move her head, which then progressed into paralysis of both arms. Her symptoms were not solely physical as she would vacillate between a normal, mental state and a manic-type state in which she would become extremely agitated. There was even a notation of a time for which she hallucinated that the ribbons in her hair were snakes.
Toward the end of her father’s life she stopped speaking her native language of German and instead only spoke in English. A little over a year after she began taking care of her father he passed away. After his passing her symptoms grew to affect her vision, a loss of ability to focus her attention, more extreme hallucinations, and a number of suicidal attempts (Hurst, 1982).
Both Freud and Jung would acknowledge that unconscious processes are at work in this woman's problems. However, they would come to different conclusions about the origin of these problems and the method by which she should be treated.

How do these epistemologies impact ethics and morals? Particularly with the romantics, you begin to notice there is a potential to separate ethics, or what is right, from values, or the individual’s ideals. What do you think is the significance of this separation?
These three positions still do not dictate a view of human nature as fundamentally good or evil. There are variant positions within the perspectives. Discuss any implications you think exist for human nature in these perspectives.
Finally, address the implications for therapy. Compare how you think these different philosophies would impact the way psychotherapy effectiveness should be determined.

After the Civil War, the United States became a much more industrialized society. Between 1865 and 1920, industrialization improved American life in many ways. However, industrialization also created problems for American society. Consider events that took place after the Civil War and discuss ways that industrialization affected the U.S. between 1865 and 1920.
You have already developed a thesis statement and developed an outline in which you identify three main points relevant to your topic. Now you will develop the final paper in which you explore your main points in detail.
Write a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:
1.
Introduce your paper with your previously crafted thesis statement.
2.
Discuss three (3) major aspects of industrialization between 1865 and 1920. In your response, consider society, the economy, and politics.
3.
Identify three (3) specific groups that were affected by industrialization and provide two examples for each group describing how the group was affected. (Consider issues such as race, ethnicity, gender, child labor, etc.)
4.
Summarize how industrialization affected the life of the average working American during this period. Use specific examples and details.
5.
Use at least four (4) academic references besides or in addition to the textbook.
