Objective: To devlope my career as an assistant professor conducting research and
teaching, utilising my physics knowledge and expertise, while transferring my skills in
nanotechnology, materials science, device fabrication and data analysis acquired while
working both collaboratively and independently during my PhD in physics.

Expert:
Strong experimental skills associated with the multi-stage processing of samples from
initial high temperature furnace annealing to detailed characterization and analysis
Ability to work in or with controlled environments: Clean room class 100 and 10000,
Ultra-high vacuum (UHV)
Thin film deposition techniques for a variety of tools including Molecular Beam
epitaxial (MBE), Magnetron sputtering, Edwards e-beam and thermal evaporation,
Temescal e-beam evaporation, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)
Micro and Nano fabrication: The development and design of device structures, UV and
Electron beam Lithography, Laser Mask writing, Oxygen Plasma Ashing, Millatron ion
milling, Wet etching.
Proficiency over a range of surface characterization methods was developed, including
Atomic force microscopy (AFM), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy-
Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron
spectroscopy (XPS) and Profilometery.
2. Electric and magnetic measurements with a variety of tools, including wire bonding,
probe station, Closed cycle refrigerator (CCR) measurements, Physical Property
Measurement System (PPMS)
Analytical and logical thinking to refine the experimental processes and techniques,
analytical methods and analytical software for the each task
Competency in relevant software packages and operating systems: e.g. MS Office,
Corel Draw, Photoshop, Gwyddion (AFM image analyser), CleWin4 (UV mask
designer), ELPHY Quantum (EBL designer), Origin Pro Microsoft Windows,
Macintosh OS, Linux Ubuntu.
Carrying out thorough scientific literature reviews
Experience in technical communication through writing and delivering presentations
Ability to effectively work as part of a group or as an individual in a multi-national
workplace
Provides on future equipment purchases and coordinate new equipment installations.
Provide support as needed with processing, equipment maintenance, and training.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
● Growth of thin films including metals, metal oxides and semiconductors (inc. NiO,
Fe3O4, SiO2, TiO2, MoO3, Al2O3, Ti, Cu, Au, W, Mn2Au)
● Ultrathin films, including single layer graphene, MoS2 and other 2D materials.
● Oxidation, reduction, doping.
● Epitaxial growth, sulfurization (S), salinization (Se).
● Growth of multilayer structures, and various nanostructures such as nanoparticles and
nanowires.
● Electrical and magnetic characterization, fabrication of Field Effect Transistors
(FETs) and resistive switching devices
● Surface and structure characterization.
