I have Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and
Scoliosis.
• I have had 9 reconstructive leg surgeries in four
years.
• I am a patient at the Shriner’s Hospital for
Children, and it is truly a remarkable place.

3.  In high school the thing that I most enjoyed
was attending a local elementary school as
part of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the
Black Hills program. I mentored a 4th grade
student during the week.
 When I go home for breaks I love to go to my
mother’s school and volunteer in the
classrooms.
 I enjoy spending as much time as possible
with friends and family.

4. My biggest professional goal is to teach in
a low-income area to student’s who really
need help.
• My mother works at a low-income school in Rapid
City and it is amazing to see the interactions with
the teachers and students and the joy that these
students get from being in school.
