Social media is basically a structure that combines individuals, communities, companies or organizations that can share their interests, attitudes, values, lifestyles, visions and friendships. In the field of eLearning this structure can be used in many ways and through different web tools. It can provide educators with an opportunity to engage learners in the online classroom, as well as to support development of learner skills and competencies.
This article argues that it is necessary to move blended learning beyond learning management systems and engage students in an active use of the web as a resource for their self-regulated study, for problem solving and collaborative activities. The case study explored in this paper explains the role of social media in promoting cognitive and meta-cognitive learners development while using a constructivist teaching and learning approach. This paper presents the findings from a specific case study, as well as general guidance to instructors for incorporating social media in a blended learning environment, including the “Traditional Classroom”. It is also suggested a limitation of the use of learning management systems to cover the development of social competences and it is argued that self-regulated students are supported by personal web tools and engaged in different kinds of social networks.

E-teaching is an innovative teaching strategy
using the e-learning technology to empower both learners and
teachers thus providing opportunities for superior learning
experiences. The study enhances the education practice of those
teachers handling different graduate programs specifically
those offered by Lyceum of the Philippines University -
Batangas. This study focused on assessing and analyzing the
different important factors pertaining to the readiness and
inclination of the teachers. This involves introduction of
e-teaching on the part of the teachers and e-learning on the part
of the graduate students to their respective programs of study.
The findings revealed that the graduate school teachers are
aware of their vital role in developing effective delivery of
instruction and their openness on the active participation in
conducting classes in an online learning environment. Also, the
university is ready to take the e-teaching program as a mode of
instruction for the Graduate School.
This practice-focused paper wil consider how employing the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework (CAST 2018) can encourage feedback-seeking behaviour on a postgraduate programme. Recent advances in neuroscience have highlighted that individual difference is the norm across the population, and thus questioned the need to label or diagnose difference. This challenges educators to move away from previous models of ‘reasonable accommodations’ and instead to design for learning with an appreciation that all students approach their learning with differing strengths and preferences. The principles and theories of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) offer enormous potential when designing for learning: by using the UDL framework, educators can accept learner variability as a strength to be leveraged, not a challenge to be overcome (Rose and Meyer, 2002).
Furthermore, recent scholarship has pointed to the importance of developing feedback literacies among Higher Education learners. The provision of feedback is not, in and of itself, sufficient; instead, there is a growing understanding that learners need to be supported to make sense of the feedback they receive and apply it in subsequent learning situations. Literature on feedback literacy (e.g. Carless and Boud, 2018; Winstone, Balloo and Carless, 2022) recognises the importance of developing students’ capabilities ‘to seek, generate and use feedback information effectively, and to engage in feedback processes to support ongoing personal and professional development’ (Winstone et al, 2022: 58). Such a view shifts the focus away from feedback at the end of learning event, and instead advocates for feedback at a point when it can be used by the learner to improve subsequent work. This requires learners to be more aware of how and why they are using feedback, and also their own role in identifying the timing of feedback so that it is of benefit to them.
This paper will consider how the UDL framework can encourage student engagement with feedback and the development of feedback literacies, drawing on specific examples from a postgraduate programme (namely the Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice). Multi-source and multi-modal feedback opportunities are embedded throughout the programme, and students are prompted to consider the focus, mode and timing of the feedback so that it is of most benefit to them to guide their learning. This paper will point towards the benefits a programme which is underpinned by the UDL framework has in fostering student feedback literacy and feedback-seeking behaviours. It aims to prompt discussion and reflection among conference attendees with respect to both UDL and feedback literacy and to consider how these two areas of academic practice can be intertwined in order to best support student learning.

The delay of the school term in China, caused by the Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,
reinforced the importance of remote teaching. The latter enabled teaching operations to continue
nationwide and provided colleges and universities with opportunities to carry out education and teaching
reforms that are also aligned with the rapid development of technology. Upon considering remote teaching
operations in China University of Geosciences, Beijing, this paper puts forward recommendations for
teaching and education management practices. We propose that colleges and universities break free from
the restraints of traditional teaching methods, establish a security system of online courses, offer high
quality online contents, and accelerate the construction and sharing of effective courses.

Current online information environments and the associated social and pedagogical transactions within them create an important information ecosystem that can and should influence and shape the professional engagement and digital scholarship within our learning communities in the higher education sector. Thanks to advances in technology, the powerful tools at our disposal to help students understand and learn in unique ways are enabling new ways of producing, searching and sharing information and knowledge. By leveraging technology, we have the opportunity to open new doors to scholarly inquiry for ourselves and our students. While practical recommendations for a wide variety of ways of working with current online technologies are easily marketed and readily adopted, there is insufficient connection to digital scholarship practices in the creation of meaning and knowledge through more traditional approaches to the ‘portfolio’. In this context, a review of the portfolio integration into degree programs under review in the School of Information Studies led to an update of the portfolio approach in the professional experience subject to an extended and embedded e-portfolio integrated throughout the subject and program experience. This was done to support a strong connection between digital scholarship, community engagement, personal reflection and professional reflexive practices. In 2013 the School of Information Studies established CSU Thinkspace, a branded Wordpress solution from Campus Press, to better serve the multiple needs and learning strategies identified for the Master of Education programs. The aim was to use a product that replicates the authentic industry standard tools used in schools today, and to model the actual ways in which these same teachers can also work in digital environments with their own students or in their own professional interactions. This paper will review how the ePortfolio now provides reflective knowledge construction, self-directed learning, and facilitate habits of lifelong learning within their professional capabilities.
