This document discusses the Artivity project, which aims to capture desktop interaction data during the creative process of artists to archive this process for future use by artists, art historians, and conservators. The project has so far developed specifications for capturing metrics during art making, integrated plugins for Inkscape and Firefox to provide this data to a semantic desktop framework, and created an explorer to view the data. Next steps include developing a plugin for the Krita application, tools to export data to ontologies and metadata formats, and testing with larger groups of artists. The document also discusses plans for sustainability, scaling the project, and outreach.
