4. MOTIVATION
• We need to have one SDI for public sector, business and
communities
• Crowdsourced data has become part of Infrastructure
• Public SDI is in Europe defined by INSPIRE
• We need find the way, how crowdsourced data could
be integrated as information source for INSPIRE,
• But also we need find the way, how communities could
benefit from INSPIRE

5. Current situation
• In the world exist thousands and thousands of
crowdsourcing applications (municipalities,
communities, etc.)
• Most of this applications is proprietary, so there is
problem how re use this data for other purpose
• On other side we have INSPIRE, Copernicus, GEOSS,
so we need find the way, how we can cooperate

6. Some possibilities
• Using standard API (not necessary only OGC and
INSPIRE based) for sharing of citizens observation
• Common protocols for accessing data
• Sharing not only data, but also maps

10. Number of sessions during
INSPIRE
• Commonly prepared by existing and starting
Citizens observatories projects and projects from
Open Data in GI
• We need to exchange information and look for
common approaches
• We need not only passively accept existing
standards, but also give our feedback and
suggestions towards INSPIRE, GEOSS, OGC, W3C, …
