Articles  ‘a’  and  ‘an’
In English we use  ‘a’  or  ‘an’  before each noun that can be counted I have  a  car ( cars can be counted )
We don’t use  ‘a’  or  ‘an’  before nouns that can not be counted I need some water ( can you count water?)
We don’t use  ‘a’   or  ‘an’  with  substances  – bread, gas, milk, wine, sugar, tea He drinks wine every day
We don’t use  ‘a’  or  ‘an’  with  sports They play tennis  on Sunday
We don’t’ use  ‘a’  or  ‘an’  with  weather conditions  – rain, snow, fog Rain was pouring  down yesterday  when I saw you
We don’t use  ‘a’  or  ‘an’  with the following nouns – love, help, money, advice, experience, information, lunch, dinner, breakfast  You can’t survive  without information in Japan
