Rubamin is an ISO 9001-2008 certified
chemicals and metals company with op-
erations in India, UAE and Democratic Re-
public of Congo. Its core business activities
comprise manufacturing of Speciality Metal
Chemicals, Metal Intermediates and Mineral
Exploration.
The company started its operations in the
year 1987 and is today the largest producer
and exporter of Zinc Oxide in India with a
Group turnover of about USD 150
million. The major countries of ex-
port are Europe, South East Asia,
USA, Middle East, Russia, Austra-
lia, etc.
Rubamin has been awarded as Ex-
porter with best Risk Management
Practices (Runners-Up) at Indian
Exporters Excellence Awards 2015
organized by Dun & Bradstreet
and ECGC of India. It has also
been awarded All India Rubber In-
dustries Association’s Top Export
Award for the years 2010-11, 2011-
12, 2012-13 & 2013-14.

Strategic Business Units
The Group comprises three Strategic Busi-
ness Units (SBUs) with a strong and mo-
tivated workforce of over 1,000 employees
supplying quality products that are rel-
evant, reliable, consistent and safe. Its four
production units are capable of producing
30,000 TPA of Zinc Oxide and other Zinc
Chemicals, 20,000 TPA Copper Blister and
450 TPA Molybdenum Compounds.
The product portfolio of Rubamin includes
Zinc Oxide, Zinc Carbonate, Zinc Phospha-
te, Zinc Borate, Zinc Sulphates, Ammonium
Molybdate, Sodium Molybdate and Cop-
per Blister. The new products in pipe-
line include Molybdenum Trioxide and
some new grades of French Process Zinc
Oxide for Food and Pharmaceutical ap-
plications.
Quality Processes & Certifications
Rubamin’s quality processes are based
on triad of infrastructure, systems and
people. Plants are equipped with indepen-
dent laboratories with modern analyti-
cal instruments like Inductively Coupled
Plasma (ICP), Atomic Absorption Spec-
trophotometer (AAS), Flame Photometer
& UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Surface
Area Analyser, Auto Titrator and Particle
Size Analyser.
It has tie-ups with internationally recog-
nized quality certification companies, re-
nowned consultants and reputed laborato-
ries which include agencies like TUV-Nord,
Intertek, SGS, etc. The quality assurance is
centralized and independent. While com-
pany’s products are REACH compliant, it
also has certifications like FAMI-QS, HAC-
CP & Kosher. The French Process Zinc Ox-
ide plant is under the process of getting a
cGMP certification.
Focus on R&D
Rubamin Technology Centre, an in-house
R&D facility, turns ideas into reality with
capabilities ranging from bench-scale
studies to project implementation and has
recognition from Department of Scientific
and Industrial Research, Government of
India.
The precipitation technique is being used
to produce high-quality Zinc Chemicals
like Acti.Z (Active Zinc Oxide for Rubber)
and FireSafe (Zinc Borate for Flame Retar-
dant Conveyor Belts & PVC Compounds)
from Zinc waste. Similarly, Rubami n uses
a unique Solvent Extraction technology
to manufacture high-quality Molybdenum
Chemicals.
