2. DEFINTION
Art Therapy is a form of expressive therapy
that uses the creative process of making art
to improve a persons physical, mental and
emotional well being
The creative process involved in expressing
one’s self artistically can help people to
resolve issues as well as develop and mange
their behaviors and feelings, reduce stress
and improve self esteem and awareness.
It can be used for counseling by therapists,
healing,treatment,rehabilitation,psychothera
py, and in the broad sense of the term, it can
be used to massage ones inner self in a way
that may provide the individual with a deeper
understanding of him or herself.
3. Art therapy , sometimes called creative arts therapy
expressive art therapy.
Art therapy is form of expressive therapy that uses art
materials such as pains chalk and markers.
Art therapy involves the creation of art in order to
increase awareness of self and others.
It promote personal development , increase coping skills ,
and enhance cognitive function.
It is based on personality theories, human development,
psychology, family systems, and art education. Art therapist
are trained in both art and psychological therapy .
A major difference between art therapy and other forms
communication is that use words and language as the
primary means of communication where as art therapy
uses known verbal forms of expression and communication
such as painting drawing, photography etc. in most
sessions, the focus is on ones inner experiences, feelings,
perceptions, and imagination.

Art therapy can help someone express
themselves, explore there emotions, manage
addictions, and improve there self esteem. It
really helps children with developmental
disabilities, how ever art therapy is awesome
because it can help any one.
Music or doing an activity like drawing relaxes
you after a long day, that is because it is very
therapeutic. If you see a professional art
therapist, they can help to interpret the feelings
that pour into your design, and even help work
through and resolve problems. Studies have also
proven that coloring, even as a adult, has
tremendous benefits.
5. Music art and dance are the main
expression of variety of therapy.
Music therapy can be mix of playing
instruments, listening, to music and
singing.
Dance therapy utilizes dance and
movements.
Art therapy can be mixture of drawing,
coloring, painting, sculpting and pretty
much everything that is artistic.
Art and dance are powerful expression
of the emotions, and can help relieve a
lot of stress, anger, and sadness.
