Developing long-term searching for just the right psychiatrist can be hectic. However, with a perfect resume, it is easy to capture the attention of both your employer and clients. The above resume is well written and organized. As such it might have impacted the patients’ initial call. First and foremost specific patient characteristics might have impacted the patient’s initial call. The patient is a middle-aged woman who might have succinctly viewed me as a mental health profession with unique skills. Besides she is a middle-class citizen who possibly value services. The contact information properly placed portraying professionalism. The resume has detailed but rather succinct skills which might have triggered the patient’s initial call.
Throughout my career, I have observed that most people can tolerate a certain amount of emotional or physical discomfort before seeking help for a problem. Nevertheless, it is adamant to understand that different people have varying levels of tolerance. Eventually, an ...
Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

10. Cognitive Abilities: Critical Thinking and Information Literacy Information Literacy Applying Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies During the therapy sessions with Codrina, the counseling techniques I would use are Beck’s reattribution technique and behavioral techniques. I would use the reattribution technique to her Codrina “find other possible causes of events” (Argosy University, 2011, p.14). This may allow her to find some closure for why certain things happened in her life. I would also use behavioral techniques, like breathing exercises, to learn how to become more relaxed. Relaxation can assist my client with learning to handle situations without causing anxiety or insomnia. These techniques are perfect for Codrina’s progressive and success.
11. Research Skills Negative Long-term Effects of Child Abuse Unfortunately, child abuse is an epidemic that only seems to be increasing in the number of victims and occurrences. According to national statistics, in 2009 “approximately 3.3 million child abuse reports and allegations were made involving an estimated 6 million children” (Child Help, 2011, ¶1). I chose to research the long-term effects of child abuse for my literature review paper because this is a very important matter. Also, I will be focusing specifically on abused and abandoned children when I become a Child Psychologist; these children need special attention in order to ensure that they will be able to live a normal, healthy life “after the storm.” Although they have no control over the hand that they are dealt, they can control whether or not they allow their circumstances to define them.
13. Ethics and Diversity Awareness Grandma’s Recollection of Slavery Racial discrimination is a terrible and hurtful thought. Even though I have never seen someone hanging lifelessly from a tree or beaten to near death, the stories of these things told from the mouth of my grandmother sadden me. Unfortunately, from birth it was imprinted and constantly bashed into her mind that “Blacks were not only different but inferior” (Robinson, 2008). African American families were had so much to worry about, one thing being whether or not today would be their last. Naturally, family life was extremely difficult. She tells a story of how her brother was viciously beaten for no reason at all. He was walking home and was attacked with baseball bats and rocks, in addition to being kicked, punched, and stomped on. Then, he was left on the side of a dirt road to bleed to death.
14. Foundations of Psychology Comparison of Freudian and Skinnerian Theories Sigmund Freud and B. F. Skinner were on opposite sides of the theoretical spectrum in respects to their views on crime and human psyche. For example, Freud believed that “the unconscious contains all those drives, urges, or instincts that are beyond our awareness but that nevertheless motivate most of our words, feelings, and actions” (Feist and Feist, 2008, p.25). On the other hand, Skinner felt that “examining the unconscious or hidden motives of human beings was a waste of time, for the only thing worth researching was outward behaviors” (All Psych Online, 2003, ¶5). With such drastic differences in these theories, it may be difficult to provide a sufficient “referral concerning a person who has been assaulted and comes to your clinic for treating a phobia of leaving the house” (Argosy University, 2010).
15. Applied Psychology Kip Kinkel Preliminary Report Even though Kinkel’s psychologist agreed that he was depressed, this may not be enough to be acquitted of the crime. He was completely conscious and aware of his actions. To prove this, Kinkel wrote in his own words in his journal that: “As soon as my hope is gone, people die” (Ramsland, p.2). He knew exactly what he was going to do. I would definitely advise the defense to plead guilty. With all of the evidence against him, and trial would be a waste of time and resources; especially since he confessed to the crimes, as well as the intent to commit the crimes in his personal journals.
16. Interpersonal Effectiveness The ATF and the Branch Davidians Standoff Belief is to have faith in the unseen, without any physical proof. This is such a strong force, especially in regards to religion. Billions of people practice their selected religious beliefs based solely on faith. In most religions, the God that is worshipped and praised is not a physical being, but a Holy Spirit. Typically, these beliefs are passed down through families starting from childhood. For example, if as a child your family was Baptist, then more than likely, as an adult you will too be a Baptist. Unfortunately, the Branch Davidians are the total opposite. This heart-wrenching tragedy involved many people, including children, to believe in something that ultimately led to their demise.
