Area Sales Engineer

business has been established for over 30 years and with a turnover of over £50 million, they
have shown excellent growth year on year and recently achieved record sales figures. Their
products are seen as market leaders within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors. Due to
expansion in the Company, we are now seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer /
Account Manager to cover the Midlands region including some of the surrounding areas
including Bristol.
The Role
Primarily, you will be responsible for the sales of all product lines to instrumentation and
piping engineers, as well as key buyers within each of the account categories. You will also
be responsible for both management of existing key accounts and development of new
business within the area.
The Candidate
As an experienced sales professional, you should have a proven track record within a
technical sales environment. It is essential that you have a strong technical or engineering
background with good commercial acumen. Knowledge / experience with valves is
advantageous but not essential.
Successful candidates should:
- Have experience within a similar technical sales role.
- Ideally have a relevant technical qualification, preferably in mechanical engineering.
- Have the ability to influence decision makers on technical specifications.
- Be customer focussed with excellent communication skills.
