assembly solutions? This innovative business specialize in the design, manufacture and
installation of complex multi-axis machines and automated tooling for the Aircraft Industry
and they have a significant customer base with major airframe constructors. Due to
continued expansion within the company, there is a now an exciting opportunity for a
Mechanical Design engineer to join their team in Broughton, Chester.
The Role
As a member of the team, you will take responsibility for all tasks associated with projects
from the initial concept stage, through to manufacture, commissioning and finally support.
Primary Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Using 3D modelling software for the design of tools and machines
- Building prototypes and iterating your designs
- Justifying designs through testing and computational analysis
- Producing high quality detailed drawings for manufacture and handover to clients
- Coordinating the manufacture of your designs
- Inspecting and assembling parts
- Troubleshooting / Fault-finding
The Candidate
Candidates must have a 2:1 or 1st class Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Degree and
applications are welcome from both recent graduates and experienced engineers. Together
with this, you will need to be highly motivated and talented with good English
communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical skills and engineering
intuition are also essential.
With a strong history of engineers that build what they create; we especially value aptitude
for design and confidence to take on “hands on” activities. Our ideal candidate will enjoy
inventing (and be good at it).
