low viscosity to viscous phenol
functionalized adducts.
These products offer solutions to formulators
of epoxy resin system requiring outstanding
impact resistance, good adhesion properties
at sub-zero temperatures in combination with
easy processing.

Araldite® Flexibilizers

  • 1. Araldite® DY 1186, Flexibilizer XB 3333 and Flexibilizer DY 965 are low viscosity to viscous phenol functionalized adducts. These products offer solutions to formulators of epoxy resin system requiring outstanding impact resistance, good adhesion properties at sub-zero temperatures in combination with easy processing. Araldite® DY 1186 Phenol functionalized polyether adduct Flexibilizer XB 3333 Phenol functionalized polyurethane adduct Flexibilizer DY 965 Phenol functionalized polyurethane adduct Key features > Toughening and flexibilizing effect > Adhesion promoter > Reactive (hydroxyl groups) > High compatibility with epoxy resins and various solvents Applications and benefits > Easy processing (liquid mixing) > Allow preparation of high impact resistant systems Low content (10 wt%) can increase toughening properties of composite parts up to 200% Improve adhesion performance especially for low temperature application range down to -40°C Advanced Materials Flexibilizers for hot curing thermoset formulations
