This document summarizes the agenda and key discussion points from a problem gambling services webinar hosted by the Oregon Health Systems Division. The webinar covered state updates on upcoming trainings, data from the problem gambling helpline, and details of the GEAR program. It also provided updates on the Oregon Lottery's responsible gambling training initiatives and multi-cultural outreach work. Implementation work plans for the state's 2016-2020 problem gambling system improvement plan were also reviewed. 11. State Prevention Updates
• Prevention Call: May 12th from 10 am – 11:00 am. Email with link for
the call to be sent out the week of May 2nd.
• In partnership with Public Health the gambling data from the 2015
Oregon Health Teen Survey (OHT) will be cross-tabulating with other
risky behaviors. The data will tentatively be available for release in
June. You can find the 2015 OHT survey results at:

• Prevention Summit May 17th – 19th in Eugene at the Hilton. For more

• Problem Gambling Adolescent Prevalence Study will be conducted
starting this month, last PG Adolescent Prevalence Study was in 2007.

• Treatment Call: May 4th from 3-4. Email and agenda to be sent out
next week.
• GPMS forms have been updated as of February 1, 2016. Please
start using the revised forms immediately. All updated GPMS forms
can be found on the Oregonpgs web page at:
http://www.oregonpgs.org/treatment-resources/. Currently in
process of getting the family gambler and client gambler surveys
and family and client satisfaction surveys translated into Spanish.
Hope to have completed and ready for use by end of April.
• New program policy statement released:
– Online counseling guidelines
– Concurrent services at multiple agency policy statement

– 95% completion of Gambling Client Enrollment surveys
– 90% of clients seen within 5 business days (access/wait time)
– 90% of reporting submitted within contractual requirement timeframe (3
data points- enrollment, discharge and encounter data)
– 100% penetration rate reached for counties/direct contractors for July 1,
2015 – June 30, 2016.
– 100% of yearly allocation spent on gambling treatment services for July
1, 2015- June 30, 2016.
