This document outlines Murdoch's model for curriculum design which includes 7 key aspects to consider: 1) the learner's present level of competence, 2) target culture aspects that interest learners, 3) course objectives, 4) learner demographics and interests, 5) reasons for studying and long-term goals, 6) resource limitations, and 7) sociocultural factors relevant to English learning. The model also emphasizes choosing a language and procedures to cover, particular skills to emphasize, methodology and activity sequencing, and selecting course materials and themes.
