Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was an Indian scientist and engineer who served as President of India from 2002 to 2007. He worked with DRDO and ISRO on projects related to missile and space technology. Some of his key inventions include the SLV-3 and PSLV launch vehicles. He faced early struggles with failed launches but achieved success eventually. Kalam received many prestigious awards including India's highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna.
