In this play called the Fences , one sees an African American man named Troy who
can be described as a hard worker, a lousy husband, a harsh father, and a
disappointing friend. The play Fence explores a time of period when African
American were treated, and looked at different. It shows a time when African
American were still victims of racism, still afraid, and full of hatred. This is a story
about Troy, a man who struggled with his past memories, and anger while trying to
raise his family in the 1950s.

He is loyal and very hardworking no matter how tired he is. Most the animals are
hardworking but Boxer is that one extra special animal. When he showed all his
hard work it influenced the others to do the same. That s when they all worked

The very first line in the Iliad states the main theme of the whole story, as Homer asks
the Muse to sing of the wrath of Achilles. This wrath, all its occurrences,
transformations, influences, and consequences, unfold the devastating events in the
Iliad.
Initially the book starts showing people in a normal state of life, but the main story of
Homer s Iliad, however, starts once there is the ignition of wrath among prominent

experienced depression and anxiety at end of life.
This is a cross sectional cohort study. Participants (n=210) with a diagnosis of stage
IV cancer, COPD, or CHF were selected from Duke Hospital and Durham VA
Medical Center and followed monthly for up to 4 years. The only inclusion criterion
was an advanced illness diagnosis. No ethical concerns were noted as patients were
consented and the study was approved by Durham VA and Duke University s
Institutional Review Boards. Outcome measures were determined utilizing the
Profile of Mood States Anxiety Subscale and 10 item Center for Epidemiologic
Studies Depression Scale. Predictors were ascertained utilizing components of the
Spiritual History Scale and the Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy
Spiritual Well Being Scale. Multiple Regression Analyses was applied while
controlling for diagnosis and severity of disease process, demographics, participant
rated spirituality and frequency of religious participation (p 752, para 1). Yielded
results showed a correlation between enhanced spiritual welfare and fewer anxiety (p

During World War Two, Australian involvement in battles such as Milne Bay, in the

The Battle of Milne Bay was fought from August 25 to September 7 and was one of
the most vital land battles protecting the Australian land mass from the Japanese that
Australians have ever conducted. Milne Bay is located on the eastern tail of New
Guinea. In May 1942, this area became of interest to senior Allied officers, when
General Douglas MacArthurmade the decision to establish an airbase here, so that
aircraft could control over the eastern seaward approaches. It was in July 1942, that
development of the first airstrips began at Milne Bay. Australian infantry and
American engineers were sent to begin clearing land for the airstrips and the base
here would support them. During the following weeks, more ships with men arrived,
