1. Any Essay
Crafting an essay on any given topic, whether assigned or self-chosen, presents a multifaceted
challenge that extends beyond the mere act of writing. The difficulty lies not only in the
intellectual demands of researching and organizing ideas but also in the intricate dance between
creativity and structure. The process of essay writing requires a delicate balance between
expressing personal insights and adhering to established academic conventions.
One of the initial hurdles is selecting a compelling and relevant topic that engages both the writer
and the audience. The challenge intensifies when the subject matter is broad, as narrowing it
down to a coherent thesis becomes a meticulous task. The writer must navigate the fine line
between originality and adherence to scholarly discourse, ensuring that their essay adds value to
the existing body of knowledge.
The research phase adds an additional layer of complexity. Distinguishing credible sources from
the vast sea of information available online demands a critical eye and discerning judgment.
Delving into the depths of the chosen topic requires not only time but also the ability to
synthesize diverse perspectives into a cohesive narrative.
The actual act of writing necessitates a command of language, a nuanced understanding of tone,
and an artful mastery of persuasion. Each sentence must contribute to the overall flow and
coherence of the essay, demanding both clarity of thought and eloquence of expression. Striking
the right balance between simplicity and sophistication is an ongoing struggle for writers of all
levels.
Editing and revision are integral aspects of the essay-writing process, adding an extra layer of
challenge. It involves a critical evaluation of one's own work, often requiring a willingness to
discard cherished phrases or restructure entire sections for the sake of clarity and coherence.
In the end, the difficulty of writing an essay transcends the mechanical aspects of putting words
on paper. It delves into the intellectual and emotional realms, demanding creativity, analytical
prowess, and a commitment to refining one's own thoughts. While the difficulty can be daunting,
the rewards lie in the personal and intellectual growth that accompanies the journey.
For those seeking assistance in navigating the challenges of essay writing, there are various

2. Miss Brandy Monologue
I said goodbye to Miss Brandy as I took my leave and let me tell you now I am
extremely tired. I can t wait to just get back into my dormitory and sink into a good
book. I will worry about eating food later on. I don t have an appetite at all. I never
really do in all honestly. What time is it? I look down at my watch. 11pm. That
leaves me with plenty of time until the next lecture at 1pm. Luckily it is with Miss
Brandy again. I am terrified to meet the other tutors, what if they don t like me the
same way as Miss Brandy does? I m sure it will be fine. I can feel someone staring
into the back of me, it is very unnerving... Why do I feel like I know who it is? Infact
I know who it is, Chakotay Coal. My heart is begging to race again, I cannot
3. My Metaacognition Is The Weakest Mode Of Metacognition
Metacognition is a deeper level of thinking that includes your ability to think about
your thinking; how you understand, adapt, change, control, and use your thought
processes (Linde). This cognitive function has shaped the way I learned and
allowed me to evaluate the best ways to learn. My comprehension and
memorization skills are my most relevant modes of metacognition. These skills
have always led me to a successful outcome. When I listen to lectures, I am not
only able to remember what was discussed but comprehend the concepts behind
them. My weakest mode of metacognition is my ability to follow through with
planning. I have a part time job and I have to plan around it so I can get my work
done. I often disregard my weekly outline and I m
4. Reflection On Life Experience
Session 1 Reflection: Life Experience Opening my eyes slowly, I could see
millions of cracks cascading my windshield. Trying to move, as the pain began
jolting through my body. A surprised voice, grabbing my attention as I became
conscious. He was telling me to stay still, as the sound of the saw ate away at my
door. I realized then that I was in a terrible car accident and somehow, I survived.
This was the moment that changed my life, the moment that Jesus took the wheel.
Hours prior to that, I sat alone; sadden, angry and dumbfounded. How could a man
I ve loved for 17 years, love someone else? Thoughts flooded my mind, as I tried
drowning my pain with every bottle that hit my lips. Tears flowing down my face,
as I slowly began to slip away. Wanting to forget every lie and hoping to erase all
the years I sat blinded. The feeling of every breath escaping me, as the couch felt
like the only comfort I had. Then the day came that I stood before the judge, as he
sentenced me to 60 days in the county jail. I had just kissed my kid s goodbye
outside, as I didn t want them to see me handcuffed and taken away. Watching their
eyes fill up with confusion and sadness, broke every part of my heart that
remained. Explaining to them that I did something bad and needed to be punished,
was something I felt ashamed of. Especially that I would be absent from their lives,
was by far my greatest struggle. I just knew that I had to rise from this and come
back stronger than the person I was
5. Analysis Of The Movie Training Day
Antoine Fuqua s, Training Day (2001) is an intense movie that follows a rookie
police officer Jake Hoyt (Ethan Hawke), whose dream in life is to become an elite
narcotics agent for the LAPD. But before landing this difficult job, Hoyt must prove
his worth. Enter the ultimate badass, thirteen year veteran Detective Sergeant
Alonzo Harris (Denzel Washington), who accepts to test Hoyts capabilities by
riding with him for a day around the cruel streets of South Central Los Angeles. This
is a crime thriller that depicts a police culture entrenched in corruption and violence.
While Training Day is a great movie, it uses storybook stereotypes of black males
with strong masculinities to portray what seems to me to be a negative representation
of black society in America.
Firstly, a brief background of Early Black cinema is important to note. In 1915 The
Plantation Genre (form of genre) came about with the release of Birth of a Nation an
overtly anti black film, which included three main mythic stereotypes. These included
the unlawful slave who represented black slaves as unpredictable, cunning and
violent; this representation was used as reasoning for whites sustaining control. The
subordinate slave stereotype, which represented blacks as dependable, loving and
accepting of their position; this allowed white audiences to displace any guilt about
slavery. Additionally, there s also what is known as the clown entertainer which
included characteristics of innate humor and the

deeper perception of Queenie, All of a sudden, I slid right down her voice into her
living room (193). His dream state imagery of her life, and the sharp contrast to his
own, helps him create a more constructed identity for Queenie. His dreamlike state of
comparison with Queenie establishes for Sammy a logic in his rationale for yearning
to truly form a deeper relationship with and be recognized by Queenie. The intense
interaction between Lengel and Queenie escalates into a small argument, resulting in
Queenies embarrassment Queenies blush is no sunburn now (194). Lengel decides to
end their interaction by restating policy, and communicating with Sammy that it is
time to ring up their purchases. The opportunity for Sammy to act on his feelings has
now arrived, the intense conversation, coupled with the numerous external cues
regarding Queenie, has bombarded his thought process, and he has aggregated ever
clear his intention to draw closer to her, and ultimately derives the motivation for the
next two words he speaks, I quit (195). Sammy hopes that these brazen words will

conditions, which are called stressors, throughout their lives, whether it is their
career, family, friends, an event, or other things that tends to stresspeople out
(Meichenbaum, 2007, p. 1). Donald Meichenbaum decided that he wanted to help

Inoculation Training in the mid 1970s. Stress Inoculation Training (SIT) is a
treatment program that makes efforts in helping people take control over finding a
positive way in dealing with stressful events and also being ready in advance to
handle stressful situations (Meichenbaum, 2007, p. 8). This stress intervention is
broken up into three phases: the conceptualization or educational phase, the skill
acquisition and rehearsal phase, and the application and follow through phase (Admi,
1997, p. 39).
Phase One: The Conceptualization
The conceptualization phase of Stress Inoculation Training (SIT) is the initial phase
of this intervention program. The therapist begins to get to know their client and

11. Henrietta Lack
In regard to the family of Henrietta Lacks suing John Hopkins Hospital, while I
sympathize with their viewpoints and claims, I believe their lawsuit is misguided and
will not stand in court. John Hopkins Hospital has a dark track record on handling
African American patients no questions on that, but unfortunately prior cases with
similar issues have resulted in failure. Many of these abuses occurred during the era
of segregation and Jim Crow not only in the southern society but within the north as
well. That being the situation, wouldn t it be hypocritical on demanding justice from
one establishment while letting the rest of society go? Additionally to that David

Nowadays, businesses endeavor to achieve a competitive advantage and so an
outstanding performance by applying different strategies and examining various
strategic analyses. Key role for this strategy is the manager s contribution, as he is
the one to defy the company s objectives. The manager is responsible in order to
exploit the firm s available resources and strengthen its competencies in order to
produce competitive goods and services. The resources and capabilities are among
the fundamental sources a manager can use, when he structures the strategic
management.

Main Drain and Skimmers
The main drain and skimmers were functional at the pool facility. The main drain
cover was visible and secured in place with no cracks on the cover. Even though the
main drain is important for the recirculation system, entrapment hazards can exist
because of them (Ministry of Health, 2014; National Swimming Pool Foundation,
2014). An entrapment hazard is a serious public health concern in a pool because it
can lead to death. There are 5 types of entrapment hazards that can occur in a pool:
hair, limb, body, evisceration, and mechanical entrapment. Hair entrapment occurs
when the hair entangles beyond the main drain cover. Limb entrapment occurs when
a limb is held by the suction from the main drain or being physically stuck in the main
drain. Body entrapment occurs when the body forms a seal over the main drain,
resulting in the suction holding the body to the cover. Evisceration entrapment occurs
when the gluteus maximus forms a seal over the main drain and the resulting suctions
pulls the rectum out. Lastly, mechanical entrapment occurs when something attached
to the pool patron gets caught with any bound structure in the pool water, including

15. Reflection On The Odyssey
Odyssey Reflection POLI 283: Model United Nations was the most fulfilling
Odyssey project that I have experienced during my time at Hendrix, on both a
personal and academic basis. Preparing for the AMUN conference using a
semester s worth of simulations and research has facilitated growth in multiple
areas of my life, and the experiential component in Chicago was highly rewarding in
its own right. Serving as a representative from the Republic of Indonesia to the
Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific vastly improved my
ability to work with a partner and to organize large groups of people. This Odyssey
experience also increased my confidence as a public speaker, broadened my area of
study within the International Relations department, and has introduced me into a
close knit group of teammates who share my interests and passions. While my
studies have often required me to work with my peers toward the completion of a
project over complex issues such as the Syrian refugee crisis and time travel,
nothing I experienced prior to Model UN forced me to truly work in synthesis with
others. In my former pursuits, the nature of my assignments has allowed me to
compartmentalize the work that needed to be completed and divvy it up between
those involved. Unlike in those projects, Madyson and I attempted to work as a
single delegation and share responsibility throughout the semester, and especially
while in simulation at AMUN. Working on our Internal Position Papers and their
presentation revealed to me how useful informed and dedicated partnerships can
be. Without working as a team to complete the required research and draft
academic language, it would have been impossible for us to complete the course s
assignments as expected. I haven t been in such a situation before, and learning to
trust Madyson and her work was a process I truly value. In addition, working on a
report writing body at AMUN allowed me to put leadership skills to use that have
lain dormant since beginning my studies at Hendrix. In high school I spent a large
portion of my free time participating in extra curricular activities that I led or helped
lead, but have focused on developing personal interests and keeping my scholarships

the story happens around Bartleby and this hidden narrator, who is not represented

Some critics who look at Bartleby the Scrivener as a comment on Melville s life
believe the dead letters may represent his unpopular novels, such as Moby Dick.
These novels, like the letters, may be errands of life, offering the reader great
insight into their life, but the novels, like the letters, have no one to read them. The
letters could also make a good metaphor for the drudgery of the emerging middle
class. Sorting letters day in and day out could eventually be difficult for anyone to
endure for a long time, and such repetitive tasks are, even today, a common source
of depression for some employees. By making them dead letters, Melville makes the
depressing nature of such a task more

empowerment, and increases patient perceptions of a social support network. (source
4) Studies have shown that when physicians are running low on empathy, patients
take significantly longer to recover from illnesses and become less likely to follow
treatment recommendations, suggesting an inverse relationship between the
prevalence of burnout and measures of patient satisfaction with medical care. (source
5) Decreased feelings of empathy and a diminished relationship between the doctor
and the patient has also been proven to lead to patient neglect in which healthcare
staff fail to maintain the standards of optimal patient care. Such findings highlight the
importance of burnout to leaders of the medical field and to administrators that have
responsibility for the workplace environment. (source
21. My Cultural Experience At Temple Beth El Of Fort Myers
I chose to do my cultural experience at Temple Beth El of Fort Myers. There I
attended there Friday night Shabbat Service where they worship though song. I
chose to bring a long a friend of mine who has a Jewish family members hoping for
a little insight in order to understand what has happening during the service. She
has been to a few services and was able to explain all the things in the church and
the parts of the ceremony I would not have understood if I was alone. She gave me a
lot of insight about the things they wear and informed me a lot of their custom. I had
heard previously that the Shabbatservice is mainly in Hebrew, therefore I wanted to
bring someone a long that could help answer some of the questions I was expecting to

As we walked in there were a lot of differences I noticed immediately. One of the
architectural features I notices was this wooden structure on the wall filled with
plaques. These represented members of their community who have died in years
past, it was called the Yahrtzit. The sanctuary had pews to sit on which looked like
curved wooden benches. There was also the stand of podium which in Jewish culture
is known as the Bimah. At the head of the church was an arc known as Aron Kodesh.
Which is where the Torahis. What is interesting is right above it there is a little
light called the Ner Tamid, which means eternal light and it always stays on. As
you sit in the pews there are prayer books behind each seat so you can fallow along
with the readings. The book we used to fallow along was called the Siddur. What
was nice was the prayers were in Hebrew with an English translation so I could
fallow along. The rabbi would yell out the page number that we are on during
prayer but if you were to miss it, I had the guide that I got when I entered the lobby
so that was extremely helpful. In the middle of the service we jump to a Torah reading
, so we had to put away the first book and then open what s called a Chumash. Each
week they read a different part of the Torah that way each year they read through the
entire cycle.
Throughout the service they stand and sit depending on the prayer they are saying.
When the arc opens is when everyone stands, and this is for a sign of
22. Why Did King Henry Viii Die
King Henry VIII was a king of England until his death in April 21, 1509. Many
people thought of King Henry as an un mighty ruler. He used to marry a new wife
every day, and chop off her head next morning. And he would do it just as
indifferent as if he was ordering up eggs. When someone mentions King Henry
VIII, one would usually think of all of his wives. All though his wives died when
he was in reign, he did not kill all of them. The fates of the wives can be
remembered as Divorced, beheaded, died; divorced, beheaded, survived. King Henry
wasn t all that terrible though. His personality was quite amazing; his intelligence,
learning, and curiosity impressed even the world weary ambassadors who littered his
court. He was just terrible closer
23. The Protest Of The Little India Riot
On the night of 8 December 2013, Singapore came face to face with the incident
that put an end to the riot free track record we had been enjoying for over 40 years.
The Little India riot was a wake up call in our usually stable sociopolitical climate.
Over 400 foreign workers, mostly under the influence of alcohol, had violently
attacked the policeand destroyed governmentproperty after a foreign workerhad been
killed in an accident. It is important to note that this incident had occurred in the
light of the formation of an increasingly complex society, where more than one fifth
of the population comprises foreigners. Various issues such as overcrowding and
tensions between foreigners and Singaporeans are among rising concerns. It also
seems to be becoming a more liberal society. These changes in society should be
accompanied by respective changes in the government, with the focus on
conscientiously addressing the old, and the new concerns of the society. The riot was
indicative of the government s shortfall in its foreseeing of issues and decision
making, evidencing the need to learn new lessons.
Anticipation of a future problem before it occurs is something the government can
learn from the riot for better management of the society. Visitors and residents of
Little India had been experiencing frequent overcrowding, with crowds numbering in
the thousands especially on Sundays, when foreign workers get a day off. In
addition, there were many cases of public

Intercultural Communication
Introduction
According to the articles Intercultural communication stumbling blocks by Barna and
Intercultural communication by Samovar, Porter, McDaniel Roy, describe the
various challenges that are faced between communications of two individuals who
come from different cultures. Notably, challenges that are faced by different people
who come from different cultures exist due to the problem of the difference between
the cultural norms. For instance, what is acceptable in the United States as a form of
communication is entirely different from what is acceptable in Japan as a form of
communication. Additionally, challenges that exist in intercultural communication
may be due to the prejudices that individuals ... Show more content on

The Vietnamese student thought that Americans are superficial for the way talk as
well as smiling too much. On the other hand, An American Girl viewed that the
international students most of them were quite unfriendly. According to this article,
there are stumbling blocks that exist in intercultural communication. First is the
language whereby there may exist different interpretation concerning a particular
vocabulary or sentence (Barna, 1994). For instance, according to this article, when a
Japanese hear that won t you have some tea? He may respond no meaning that he is
interested in taking tea which may mean to an American person that he is not
interested in taking the tea. Thus, this may act as a stumbling block. The second
stumbling block is nonverbal signs and symbols. In case there exist different meaning
of the non verbal signs and symbols, communication is hindered.
Summary of Prejudice in Intercultural Communication
This article describes the way individuals react negatively to other people without
any factual material or direct contact. In other words, it describes the way some
people have a negative attitude towards other people from a particular culture due to
the prejudice. According to this article, individuals usually practice prejudice towards
other people due to four reasons. First is due to their utilitarian or adjustment
function. In this case, they intend to hold the
25. Elements Of The Trickster In How Stories Came To Earth
Throughout all trickster tales, there are elements that are found in all of the
tricksters. These elements are what makes the protagonist the main trickster. In the
stories, How Stories Came to Earth , Coyote Steals Fire , and Master Cat or Puss
and Boots students were asked to identify seven elements. Some of these elements are
cleverness of a the trickster, helpfulness of a trickster, and gods, spirits, and the
supernatural. These elements can be used to identify the tricksters, and show the
ways tricksters trick others.
Each of the given stories have supernatural elements. Whether it is a god, spirit, or
just a supernatural, a trickster is guaranteed to come in contact with one of them. In
the story, How Stories Came to Earth, the reader learns about the sky god who
possesses all of the stories. The sky god is explained as powerful and having a loud
voice which shows supernatural characteristics and that he has power over Anansi, the
main character, in this passage. Furthermore, in the story, Coyote Steals Fire ,
readers learned about the antagonist, Thunder. In the beginning of the story it is said,
Thunder was a fearful being. This quote represents how Thunder had power over the
other animals and that is why no one chose to challenge him. Lastly, in the end of
the story Master Cat or Puss in Boots readers get to learn about the Ogre. When
Master cat, the trickster, comes in contact with the ogre because he wants his castle,
he knows that he can shape shift.

Residential school is like a nightmare for the Indigenous people during the last

life who is an Ojibway boy being taken to residential school. The novel mainly talks
about how Saul uses hockey and alcohol to find healing and escapism and how he
investigates his character. The theme of healing and escapism is mainly explored
through Saul s story of hockey and alcohol. Additionally, Saul s character has
changed from an innocent Ojibway boy into a precocious adolescent into a chaotic
adult to become a dynamic character. Hockey is Saul s healing, through hockey, he

The entire process for him to explore himself develops his character to be dynamic.
Before Saul is taken to the residential school, he is an innocent Ojibway boy who
has close connections with nature. He considers himself as people of manitous.
The beings that shared our time and place were lynx, wolf, wolverine, bear, carne,
eagle, sturgeon, deer, moose. The horse was a spirit dog meant to run in open
places (4). In their culture, Creator and nature is their spirituality. It may be the
nature spirituality that decides his identity, therefore Saul has a clear self
awareness during his childhood. However, Saul s spirituality was taken away at
the residential school, and that is the reason for him to have difficulty handling
character before he is introduced to hockey. When I hit the ice I left all of that
behind me. I stepped onto the ice and Saul Indian Horse, the abandoned Ojibway
kid, clutched in the frozen arms of his dead grandmother, ceased to exist (83).
During his adolescence, the hockey provides him the new identity and his spirituality
as he was so deeply in love with that sport, for the healing and escapism that the
sports gives him. That s why I played with abandon. To abandon myself...I became
enraged because they were taking away the only protection I had. When that
happened, I knew that the game could not offer me protection any longer. The truthof
the abuse and the rape of my innocence were closer to the surface (199 200).
However, Saul struggles with his character again when the game no longer protects
him from the pain of abuse. Alcoholism turns to be Saul s protection which makes
him a chaotic adult, and as a consequence, getting confused with identity. During the
time that he drunk himself, Saul passively resist facing the world and refuses to
explore who he really is. Later when he quits the New Dawn Centre, he decides to

28. Personal Values Centered On The Right Person For The Job
Sarah perceived her personal values centered on the candidate being the right type
of person for the job. She felt that it was important to her that the candidate has
values and characteristics which in her opinion make them the right person for the
job. Sarah posted that a nurse can have a lot of experience and have all of the
technical skills, but if they have no bedside manner or respect for their co workers
the she does not want to hire them. She believes that it is healthy to have a positive
social intelligence in the workplace and in order to help with this she would want to
hire someone that she believe can work with people and has not just professional but
personal values.
Sarah felt that it is very easy to be biased and a nurse manager needs to be thinking
during the interview does this candidate meet the qualifications for the job? Sarah
posted that the manager should focus most on qualifications instead of personal
opinions. She thinks that interviewers can make mistakes, it is very hard not to.
She responded that you may only see the good in people, which isn t realistic. Or
you may only see the bad. Also a mistake can be does the manager think about
would the candidate be good for the job in the future ( a year later). Because if the
new hire is going to quickly leave the job they are probably not the best candidate. It
is easy to have bias or make mistakes, the manager needs to just do the best they can.

The first report highlights errors in attendance data entry. It shows you whether an
employee has entered the time of entry or exit manually and the differences between
the actual and expected sign out time and the time. The second report shows the
attendance data recorded.
17.2 Timesheets
In most service companies where Open ERP has been integrated, service sheets, or
timesheets, have revolutionized management practices. These service sheets are
produced by each employee as they work on the different cases or projects that are
running. Each of these is represented by an analytic account in the system.
Throughout the day, when employees work on one project or another, they add a
line to the timesheets with details of the time used on each project. At the end of the
day, each employee must mark all the time worked on client or internal projects to
make up the full number of hours worked in the day. If an account is not in the
system then the time is added to the hours that have not been assigned for the day.

30. The Hipaa Act Of 1996
What is the HIPAA Act of 1996?
HIPAA, what is it? It is privacy, control, and peace of mind. You have the right for
your medical information to be kept confidential. You have the right to decide
whether or not family members are privy to your medical information. If you are
changing jobs, why worry about health insurance coverage. Picture this. A woman
called a local hospital and inquired about the condition of a patient. She was
informed by the nurse that the patient was on a ventilator and could not talk. Even
though interaction seems perfectly harmless, it was actually a clear violation of
the privacy of the patient. A prescription for a local analgesic was presented to the
pharmacist for a patient with a name similar to a patient already on file. The
prescription was filled for the current patient who was actually the father, and not
the patient. The pharmacist assumed that the patient was the father and shared with
the patient that there was another medication that he had filled for you and asked,
Would you also like to pick up that medication also ? The father was not present
and therefore could not object to the sharing of this information with the son. In the
past, if you had a preexisting disease such as chronic fatigue or pregnancy, you
could be denied health care coverage. Because Congress stepped in to assist and fix
the healthcare system, denial of insurance because of a preexisting disease is not
accepted. In view of this significant law, this paper will

PART II: LITERATURE REVIEW AND DISCUSSION
According to Levine (2016), Ultra Orthodox Jewish culture contains varying sects,
Hasidic/Yeshivas is considered a Jewish religious sect which originated in the Ukraine

Europe during the eighteenth century. Hasidic Immigrants have settled in the United
States, United Kingdom and Israel. Disciples of its originator Ba al Shem Tov have
since disseminated it into sects. The cultural intersectionality in focus is current
Hasidism, an Ultra Orthodox sect of Judaism which preserves its religious
conservatism and social isolation from mainstream society. (Levine, 2016) Ultra
Orthodox Jewish culture maintains historical customs and likens to the Amish culture

reminiscent of the eighteenth and nineteenth century. The males adorn black coats
and Cossack looking hats; their beards are full with distinct side curls called peyots
which adhere to the Torah s instruction to not cut the corners of one s head. Different
sects of Ultra Orthodox Jews vary the style of curls distinguishing one group from
another. The women wear modest clothing which covers their skin from neck to
ankles and forearms and wears wigs that cover their shaven or closely cut heads.
Modesty is of the utmost importance;

Technology has on graphic designing.
INTRODUCTION
The age of digital art began in the 1980s and is still present among the millennials.
Dominantly impacting every form of life, technology worse than a virus has become
a way of life. Evidence of technology s supremacy on humanity lies within our grasp,
through the form of communication, production and maintenance. Artists have
exponentially increased their way and limitations in producing more work
depending on the possibilities the digital age has provided. Over the decades,
programs have been created for the enhancement of digital art. A lot more things can
be done on computers and digital software on these computers enable such
possibility. Due this change, is there a possibility that an exchange is being made? At
what cost are striving for change and diversity.

34. The Contamination Free Production Process Of The
Future...
There is an impressive argument to made by some critics that the semiconductor
industry considers the contamination free production process of its state of the art
semiconductor wafers, paramount to that of the future health and safety concerns of
its labor force. Does this argument stand? Does there in fact exist a hostile
environment for the industries microchip production workers and could it play a
secondary role to the concepts of innovation and profits? Could the handling of
known toxic materials in the microchip production process and their effects on the
human body, conveniently be overlooked, in an attempt to fulfill the industry s
primary directive of advancing technological insight in accordance with Moores law
18 month cycles? This industry is highly innovative and knows that every 18 months
the amount of transistors which can be etched on to a silicon wafer increases, thus
chip performance doubles and so does the potential profits. This results in technical
development which at times can be so fast that it s difficult to keep up with advances
and fully examine them. And what is even worse is that you can add to it the fact,
that it is common practice and procedure among the semiconductorchip producers to
contain their production processes as a form of trade secret in order to advance their
own technological breakthroughs. It is not difficult to identify the potential health
hazards experienced by those who are involved in the occupation of semiconductor
wafer
35. Crime And Punishment And Hamlet
Fyodor Dostoevsky and William Shakespeare are well known authors of their time.
The two have written numerous classics, including Crime and Punishment, and
Hamlet, respectively. Through writing these pieces of literature, Dostoevsky and
Shakespeare were able to establish thematic elements that convey human emotion and
understanding. Their use of thought and over analysis is able to express common
human emotion of indecision and confusion, while their use of the thought of
existenceallows for the reader to connect with the characters, and find ways to come
to terms with their existence on Earth.
A thematic element present in both Crime and Punishment and Hamlet is that of over
analysis and thought. In Crime and Punishment, on page seven when Raskolnikov is
confronted by a drunk man about his hat, Raskolnikov thinks about how obvious his
hat is compared to the rest of his dress:
Yes, by hat is too noticeable ... It looks absurd and that makes it noticeable ... With
my rags I ought to wear a cap, any old pancake, but not this grotesque thing.
Nobody wears hats like this, it would be noticed a mile off, it would be
remembered ... What matters is that people would remember it, and that would give
them a clue. For this business I should be as unnoticeable as possible ...
(Dostoevsky 7) Raskolnikov s meticulous analysis of his attire even before he
commits the two murders shows how analytical of his surroundings he is.
Raskolnikov is also very analytical of his actions. While out and

38. Essay On Managing Change
To secure long term survival in the everchanging business world, the first thing is to
validate that the company has the ability to adapt and continuously improve. In doing
so, I will first make sure that the strategic plan is aligned with the unique values and
sense of identity of the company and promote a culture of commitment and
performance, because in strong organizational cultures people instinctively react
properly to change.
For implementing internal changes, the famous freeze phase model (unfreeze change

expanded and tailored to better manage the process.
Effectively managing any change initiative requires adoption of a planned and

Further, in planning the change, as I a leader I should first assess the existing
culture and if changes are to be made to the org existing culture, these should also be
addressed in the change program. I need to be clear about the culture and underlying
behaviors that will best support the new way of doing business, and at the same time
explore opportunities to model and reward those behaviors. This involve developing a
baseline, defining an explicit end state or desired culture, and devising detailed plans
to make the transition. e.g. if the strategic plan is focused on profitability and
improving bottom line accountability. In addition to redesigning metrics and
incentives, there should be a plan to systematically change the company s culture.
One of the tactics in achieving this, can be increased participation and getting the
marketing managers involved early in the process. Then based on their
recommendations, develop the marketing campaigns, spending plans, and incentive
programs. This will not only increase marketing personnel commitment but also their
accountability. Shared values that are widely held by the employees provide a strong
culture and a strong work culture guides all the members of an organization along a
similar path to reach the common goals of the organization.
Resistance to change comes from a fear of the unknown or an expectation of loss.
The front end of an individual s resistance to change is how they perceive the change.

39. Australia s Legal System Affect Gender Equality
INTRODUCTION
On the 28 October 2014, media outlets worldwide commented on the findings of the
annual World Economic Forum s Global Gender Gap Report. Its findings supported
United Nations Ambassador Emma Watson s recent claim, at the launch of the
HeForShe campaign, that No country in the world can yet say they have achieved
gender equality . According to the Report, Australia ranks 53rd out of 142 countries
in reaching gender equality in terms of Political Empowerment . Australia s rank in
this category has been steadily declining; this paper explores how the principles of
public law that form the basis for Australia s legal system affect gender equality.

The High Court of Australia recognises representative government to exist at a
Commonwealth level as it is implied in the Constitution. The success of
representative government in Australia is highly questionable from a feminist
perspective. With women making up over half of the voting population but only 29%
of parliamentarians the discrepancy becomes apparent. A common argument for the
low percentage of women is that women s political interests can, and are ably
represented by male politicians. Another popular argument is that women are
physiologically unsuited to certain positions and areas of work, of which politics is
one.
Contrary is the notion that the lack of female representatives is due to multifaceted
barriers which, for the most part, is shaped and promoted by society. Practically
speaking, as women must work an additional 64 days per year to earn the same
amount as a male colleague due to the 18% gendered pay gap (which is a 20 year
high), it is difficult for a woman to run a political campaign, due to a lack of time
and financial resources. Furthermore, a reluctance to enter politics can be attributed
to political parties actively undermining women s ability by engaging in the custom
of both the Liberal and the Labour Party to preselect women candidates for seats they
had no hope of winning .
However, perhaps one of the greatest

democratic reform (461) which passed an allowance for Athenians to attend public
festivals and subsidizing theatre admission for poorer classes to watch plays;
validates the importance of art by allowing all classes to participate and Pericles
efforts in establishing the Golden Age of culture. Through his support of the Arts,
tragic dramas would reach the culmination of popularity and appeal to mass
audiences, also maintained the tradition in which theatre served as moral and
intellectual education for the people, depicting legends, wars and real life events.
However, the most significant initiative by Pericles was the Building Program
likewise both ancient and modern historians (Williams, Ehrenburg and Plutarch)
collectively agree to its symbolism of Athens glory and the pinnacle of Athens
culture, the grandeur of buildings was unprecedented and brought Athens much
admiration and prestige in the Greek world, (Williams) asserts Pericles role in the
formation of Athens Golden Age of Culture. One of highest acclaim would be the
Parthenon (as described by Kagan) on the Acropolis embodies the perfection and
innovation of Classical Period Art; built on a 4:9 ratio made entirely of Pentelic
marble and features no straight lines but curved forms to combat optical distortion.
Plutarch adds the buildings untouched by time had a soul of unfading youth credits
only Pericles in leaving a legacy in Athenian Golden Age of Culture and the world.
42. Marvel Cons
Are you a Marvel comic and movie fan? If yes, you need to check this out! Marvel
Comics was released way back in the 1960 s, and a lot of kids and young fellas are
crazy to buy these comics for good. There are many superheroes there like Captain
America, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, The X Men and so on. Comic
issues are updating for decades until it was decided to be shown to TV as cartoons.
In the late 1990 s, Marvel has released it s first cartoon series known as the X Men.
They re composed of mutants such as Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, The Beast, Jean
Grey. Gambit, Jubilee and Professor X. After that, Marvel Studios decided that they
should bring these characters to life by going into the big screen. As a result, they

This blind superhero has been on the big screen, but it never gets a chance to
perform a sequel. However, he has the ability to see through magnetic sound waves
(and even rain, when he finally see the beautiful face of Carmen Elektra). Right
now, he s got another chance to prove himself by reincarnating himself in this new
Netflix TV series. On the other hand, Jessica Jones is another series that you should
be looking forward to. She opens a new detective agency called the Alias
Investigations. She does have supernatural powers, but only used them occasionally.
The Punisher, Luke Cage and The Iron Fist are also having their own series. Here s
one question that you need to ask Marvel.
Are these superheroes gonna combine in one single series?
It may be possible, and it may not. If it s indeed possible, it might take a long time
for the producers and writers to work this out. If it s possible to combine fictional
superheroes as Avengers, they can be possible too. There were rumors that Jessica
Jones are going to face off against the Punisher. If this is true, it would be amazing
for the fans to see this. When it comes for these 5 superheroes to meet up with each
other in one single series, there s a lot of work to do for Marvel. It would be fun to
see these superheroes to combine forces with each other.
However, we don t know who their enemy is. For now, it s too early to decide
whether Marvel is going to make this happen or not. Nothing
43. Gender Pay Bias
The Equal Pay Act of 1963 and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 outlawed gender
discrimination (Macionis, 2012). That is, employers cannot discriminate when
setting pay for men and women (Macionis, 2012). Although these laws exist in the
United States, median wages for women amounts to seventy nine percent of median
wages for men (Hirschfeld Davis, 2016). As a result, President Barack Obama signed
an executive law that will close genderpay gap with mandatory reporting and penalize
companies that engage in discriminatory pay practices (Hirschfeld Davis, 2016).
According to Macionis (2012), gender biases affects how women are promoted in
the workplace. This is a form of glass ceiling, which is the subtle discrimination that
effectively blocks
44. Landscape in The Sea Gull a Novel by Anton Chekhov Essay
Anton Chekhov s The Sea Gull is a Russian comedy, despite some tragedy, written
in the end of the nineteenth century regarding the drama revolving around a group
of people living in the countryside. The characters face the lack of satisfaction in
their lives as they fail to achieve their desires. The characters desires are most about
success; they desire success in loveand art. Since these characters are lacking at least
one of these desires, they are thus left to be loathing their lack of success in life
throughout the play. Overall, The Sea Gull does exemplify the human disappointment
through the characters which face disappointment or dissatisfaction with their lives

Masha becomes another medium for addressing human disappointment, and
effectively shows this disappointment when she is talking about Treplev. Treplev
himself is yet another example of disappointment and struggle from lack of love
since he is trying to please to his mother, Arkadina, although this love is more of a
family matter rather than a relationship when she shows disapproval of him by
criticizing his play and states he is a conceited, capricious boy (117). These three
examples provide evidence of Anton Chekhov s address to disappointment by
showing the disappointment of love in The Sea Gull through characters and their
actions; examples to this disappointment are not just limited as the whole play
contains many romance triangles that lead to disappointment. Next, human
disappointment also extends to the characters desire for success in art and most
prevalent with Treplev, Arkadina, and Trigorin. Treplev is the son of Arkadina and
is a member of the Russian social elites. He was born the son of a famous action. In
The Sea Gull, Treplev attempts to start a new form of theater. He writes a play that
would reference humanity and its disappointment and symbolism.Treplev also
includes the senses as part of his play through materials such as sulfur to instigate
reaction. His plan for the new form of theater however did not have his intended
reaction by the audience as his mother commented
45. The Effect Of Body Condition On Postpartum Interval
Introduction There has been a long history of the effect of body condition on
postpartum interval; however, there have been limited reports to elucidate the
interaction between body condition score and follicular populations and how this
affects postpartum interval. Postpartum Interval is defined as the period of sexual
rest during which the reproductive system is mainly quiescent. Follicular
development is minimal; the corpora lutea, although identifiable, have regressed and
are non functional. Secretions are scanty and viscous, the cervix is constricted, and
the vaginal mucosa is pale (Sheldon, 2002). A major obstacle in maintaining a 12 mo
calving interval for beef producers, particularly for those using Brahman females, is
the long duration of the postpartum anestrous period. In order to curb this, a
postpartum animal must recover from the suppressive effects of gestation and
parturition on the pituitary, ovarian and endocrine systems (Browning et al., 1994).
Pituitary and ovarian function in suckled beef cows may return within 4 to 5 wk after
calving (McNatty, 1988; Wright et al., 1990). Nutrition is a major factor controlling
the length of the postpartum acyclicity (Randel, 1990). When an animal gains or
losses body condition the amount of leptin in blood is changed (Amstalden et al.,
2000; Amstalden et al., 2005), due to the increase in adipocytes, thus affecting the
release of GnRH; and thereby affecting oogenesis, follicular maturation and ovulation

47. Strengths And Weaknesses Of A Marketing Plan
3.1)
A marketing plan is a business document outlining your marketing strategy and tactics
(Westwood, 2004). Marketing planning helps you develop products and services in
your business that meet the needs of your target market. Good marketing helps your
customers understand why your product or service is better than, or different from,
the competition. Also, a good marketing plan can help you reach your target audience,
boost your customer base, and ultimately, increase your bottom line. It s often
required when seeking funding and helps you set clear, realistic and measurable
objectives for your business. (Russell, 2010)

Market share is how much of the market a business, product or brand has relative to
the total market. Market share is expressed in terms of percentage and is calculated
by dividing either the total sales or volume of a business, product or brand by the
combined total sales or volume of all its competitors. When developing marketing
strategies, forecasts and product development, many underlying factors must be
examined to understand how market share is influenced. (Stimpson and Farquharson,
2015)
Efficiency ratios: The efficiency ratio is typically used to analyze how well a
company uses its assets and liabilities internally. An efficiency ratio can calculate the
turnover of receivables, the repayment of liabilities, the quantity and usage of equity,
and the general use of inventory and machinery. This ratio can also be used to track
and analyze the performance of commercial and investment banks. (Stimpson and
Farquharson, 2015)
Cost profitability analysis: Companies try to increase sales and profits by expanding
services, reducing costs, and shifting channel strategies, but they ignore the impact
each of these drivers have on gross margins. Analyzing the magnitude of these drivers
makes it much easier to see what s happening, pushing aside opinions for facts and
developing actionable plans to maximize profits. (Stimpson and Farquharson,
48. Role Of The Family Nurse Practitioner
The Role of the Family Nurse Practitioner in Advanced Nursing Practice Although
advanced nursing practice is a broad field with several roles defined within, the
author of this essay has identified the role of the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) as
the focus for this assignment. The FNP role was selected as it is the specialty track in
which the author is furthering his professional nursing education. The Family Nurse
Practitioneris a Registered Nurse (RN) who possesses advanced clinical training,
skills, and competencies acquired through the completion of a Master s or Doctoral
nursing degree in order to provide family centered primary care to individuals across
the lifespan. (American Association of Nurse Practitioners [AANP], 2015). Family
Nurse Practitioners practice independently in several states, although some states
require that a collaborative agreement with a physicianbe in place. The scope of
practice of the FNP mirrors that of a Family Physician and the education and
training of the FNP overlaps into the specialty area of Family Medicine in that
conducting physical examinations, diagnosing, ordering and interpreting tests, as
well as prescribing medications are intricate parts of their responsibilities; much like
a primary care physician s. Because of the more holistic nature of the nursing
profession, there are some unique characteristics that differentiate an FNP from other
primary care providers. There is a marked focus on the well being of the
49. The Causes Of Social Injustice In The United States
America is supposed to be the land of dreams where any working man can strive
and achieve the same status as any privileged can possess. But with social injustice
in America at an all time high, this dream seems to be falling apart at the seams.
Social injustice is simply another form of injustice. Social Injustice can vary from
one persons point of view to another. Ann Marie was a 36 years old, she was a
writing teacher who was coming back from a spa, missed her bus and decided to
walk home. The police stopped her on suspicion of prostitution. Officers said she
that was looking into the windows of passing vehicles. When she tried to show
them the receipt from the spa, officers took it from her. She was afraid that the only
physical evidence that supported her case would be gone, so she tried to take it
back, knocking the police s notebook to the ground. That got her a charge of
harassment to go along with the prostitution accusation. She eventually beats both
cases in court. The social injustice for many people it can be seen as the few getting
all the benefits with little being trickled down to the few, and having to fight for the
scraps. The social injustice is the fact that the education of people is far from where it
should be. People in the United States suffer from the injustice in the politics,
especially the criminals and immigrants. The injustice system affects lots of people
and their communities. The archetype of injustice can be found through stereotype,
50. The Conflict In Ramona
In Helen Hunt Jackson s masterfully woven tale, Ramona, the main conflict seen is
man vs. society. The story takes place in the early 19th Century, during the time of
American settlement in Old California. Ramona, the main character, is a young
girl growing up under the care of a woman named Senora Moreno. Due to the fact
her father was Irish and her mother an Indian, Ramona finds that she is faced with a
society that does not always look on Indians with a friendly eye. Even the Senora
finds it incredibly difficult to feel any kind of compassion for Ramona, and bears no
lovefor the girl. She often treats her coldly and only does what is necessary for her
well being because of a promise she made. The conflict first makes its appearance
when Ramona falls in love with Alessandro, a handsome Indian working on the
Moreno estate. Upon discovering their forbidden love, Senora Moreno wastes no
time in showing her severe disapproval of the pair s affection for each other, and
does everything in her power to prevent the two from marrying. After a time of
enduring the Senora s cruel attempts at destroying her love for Alessandro, Ramona
finally leaves the only home she has ever known to elope with her beloved.
The conflict begins to develop after Ramona and Alessandro leave, and begin to
encounter obstacles that stem from a society that possesses a general dislike of
Indians. They decide to return to Alessandro s old hometown, Temecula, where
Americans have forced all the Indians to
51. Using Symbolic Masks In Ancient Greeks
People use masks for more than one reason, but masks are often used to prove a
point or to show an emotion. Even in ancient Greece, dramatic masks were used in
theater so that people in the top row of an amphitheater could see the emotion on
actors faces. This use of masks was for entertainment, but it also stresses the
importance of human emotion and how important it was considered even to the
ancient Greeks. Some people, however, don t use an added maskto show human
emotion. They use their face, and that face can serve as the only mask necessary to
prove a point. A face can be a mask that is used to show people someone s emotion
literally, or it can be used as a figurative mask to hide emotion. It is ironic how the
literal masks of the

Furthermore, forecasts of unreasonable weather can raise fears that crops would be
damaged and that production would fall. Such forecasts can also result in pushing
cocoa prices to go up. For instance, it is not uncommon that because of the frequent
dry weather that hit West Africa in past years, speculations of re occurrence of
another weather dry seasons would persist. Rossingh (2007) reported the
following: Drier than usual winds this year in West Africa, where 70 percent of all
cocoa beans are grown, prompted the International Cocoa Organization in London
last month to increase its forecast for a global supply shortfall this year. Global
production will drop 7.5 percent to 3.44 million tons while demand will rise 1.7
percent to 3.55 million tons, the group said May 31. (p.15) Similarly, unfavourable
weather is an underlying determinant of cocoa s market supply. Unfavourable
weather will cause a slow and cut down of production of cocoa crops, reduce the
available supply of cocoa in the market and cause the entire supply curve to shift
leftward, resulting in a spike in cocoa prices at smaller quantities in the market.
Political Instability, Civil Unrest or Strikes Political unrest also contributes to the
cocoa price equation. Ivory Coast, the global leading supplier of cocoa beans, can be
drawn as a good example of how political

Various techniques have been used in content based models. Such systems try to
п¬Ѓnd regularities in the descriptions that can be used to distinguish highly rated
items from others [97]. Content based approaches are based on objective information
about the items. This information is automatically extracted from various sources
(e.g., Web pages) or manually introduced (e.g., product database). However, selecting
one item or another is based mostly on subjective attributes of the item (e.g., a well
written document or a product with a spicy taste). Therefore, these attributes, which
better influence the user s choice, are not taken into account. In the rest of this
section, we discuss three technique of content based filtering technique including

Roger Davis, PhD, and Seth Grossman, PsyD. The MCMI III was published
originally by NCS Pearson, Inc in 1994 but was then re released in 1997 (Millon et

third edition is no longer available for purchase since a newer version has been
published and using the third edition would be unethical. The price for the fourth
edition of the MCMI III personality test is for the manual scoring starting kit, which
includes: 10 test booklets, 50 answer sheets, 50 worksheets, 50 profile forms and
answer keys; however the plain manual without any of the additional required items
can be purchased for $61.50. The fourth edition will be released later on this year,
2015 (Clinical Psychology, 2015). The MCMI III Third edition is a test that assesses
DSM IV related personality disorders and syndromes for the use of people 18 years
of age and older at an 8th grade reading level and is also available in Spanish

Essay on Joel Spring s Deculturalization and the Struggle for Equality Introduction
Joel Spring s Deculturalization and the Struggle for Equality examines the
educational policies in the United States that have resulted in intentional patterns of
oppression by Protestant, European Americans against racial and ethnic groups. The
historical context of the European American oppressor is helpful in understanding
how the dominant group has manipulated the minority groups. These minority groups
include Americans who are Native, African, Latin/Hispanic, and Asian. Techniques

government toward Indians in the latter part of the 19th century. An important part
of these educational policies was the boarding school designed to remove children
from their families at an early age and thereby isolate them from the language and
customs of their parents and tribes (p. 32). The Carlisle Indian School in Carlisle,
PA became the first boarding school for Native American children in 1879. Here
deculturalization methods were employed. From this methodology and perspective,
the patronizing term cultural deprivation has come to imply that a group is without
culture altogether (Nieto and Bode, 2008, p. 176). One of the perceived deficiencies
of Native Americans was their propensity to share which caused the European
Americans to label them as socialists which was anathema to the dominant group s
philosophy. Richard Pratt, the founder of the Carlisle School, sought to instill
individualism and self responsibility in order to break Indians from a socialist style
of sharing. All boarding and reservation schools taught in English with exceptions
including some Choctaw and Cherokee schools that utilized bilingual education. In
1928, the Meriam Report reversed the philosophy that isolation of children was
required. The new view was that education should occur in one s family and
community. Several decades later, from 1968 to 1990, a number of legislative acts
addressed the mistakes of deculturalization. It was not until 1974 that Indian students

Comparison of the Two Speeches in Julius Caesar
In William Shakespeare s play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, two speeches are
given to the people of Rome about Caesar s death. In Act 3, Scene 2 of this play
Brutus and Antony both try to sway the minds of the Romans toward their views.
Brutus tried to make the people believe he killed Caesar for a noble cause. Antony
tried to persuade the people that the conspirators committed an act of brutality toward
Caesar and were traitors. The effectiveness and ineffectiveness of both Antony s and
Brutus s speech to the people are conveyed through tone and rhetorical devices.

Brutus tells them people then he had done no more to Caesar than they will do to him.
Brutus s speech was ineffective in giving them reasons for Caesar s ambition. This
gave Antony a large gap to turn the people against Brutus. Brutus told the people to
believe him for his honor , and to respect him for his honor, so that they may
believe. He is telling them to believe him for his honor and not for the reasons he
gives. Brutus repeated many times that Caesar was ambitious but never once said
how or why. This left the people with a question in their mind.
Antony used the explicit gap in Brutus s speech to turn the people quickly against
Brutus. Antony began his speech with a detached tone in lines 77 79 of his speech
by saying, The evil men do lives after them, the good is oft entered with their
bones; so let it be with Caesar. Antony wanted the people to believe he was
impartial toward the situation, therefore, he would speak the truth. Antony put
Brutus s honor in question by telling how Caesar did and gave so much to the
people, and yet the honorable Brutus said he was ambitious. Antony reminded the
people Caesar gave the ransom Caesar collected from prisoners he had captured for
the public funds, and wept for his people, and how refused a kingly crown three
times. On lines 113 115 a plebeian said, Mark ye his word? He would not take the
crown, therefore tis certain he was not ambitious. showing the people
