It is similar to another bird, but this one has got a
shorter neck.
It lives all around the world, except in Antarctica.
It walks in an awkward way, but it swims very well.
Most of them can fly and migrate.
One of them is a famous character on TV.

It has got two wings, two legs and
feathers.
It has got a strong beak.
It can fly very high.
It has got very good sight to hunt mice
or small birds.

It is a small amphibian.
It jumps all over the world and it’s good fun.
It lives in the water when it is young and goes to the
land when it is older.
It likes insects, but its favourite food is the mosquito.
It can have lots of colours, e.g. green or brown.

It is tall and eats leaves from trees.
It lives in forests.
It is yellow and a mammal.
You can find it in the savannah in Africa.
It weighs more than a thousand kilos.
It is killed by lions.

It is the king of mammals, the desert and the jungle.
It is like a big cat, but it isn’t afraid of other animals.
It has got a hairy body.
Its head is usually yellow or brown.
Its teeth are sharp and it has got a long tail.
It likes having a solitary life, just hunting or
defending its territory.

There are more than forty species.
Its hind legs are longer than the front ones to
jump higher.
It has a short tail and big ears and eyes.
It is herviborous.
When it is born, it is blind and it hasn’t got fur.

It has got brown, grey or brown fur, two eyes,
one nose, one mouth and two ears.
Some have got a tail.
It is very intelligent.
It lives in the jungle and sleeps on trees to be
safe from predators.
It is friendly and likes bananas.

Its eyes are often amber or golden, but sometimes
they can be blue.
Its teeth are long and they stand out when it opens
its mouth.
It lives in the mountains and forests.
It sleeps in caves.
It is in danger of extinction.
