Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

3. A CHARACTERistic VIEW
Squealer- The right hand of napoleon
who was very good at public speaking
and was persuasive in his speeches.
Napoleon – the chief of all the
animals after snowball fled. Had 9
dogs encircled around him for
protection. He was very ruthless.Snowball – He fled after he was attacked by
napoleons dogs . He was a just man and a
good speaker too
MR. Jones – he was non hardworking farmer
who didn’t car for his field and farm in a
righteous manner
5. The Speech
Afterwards Squealer was sent round the farm to explain the new arrangement to the others.
“Comrades,” he said, “I trust that every animal here appreciates the sacrifice that Comrade
Napoleon has made in taking this extra labour upon himself. Do not imagine, comrades, that
leadership is a pleasure! On the contrary, it is a deep and heavy responsibility. No one believes
more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let
you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions,
comrades, and then where should we be? Suppose you had decided to follow Snowball, with his
moonshine of windmills — Snowball, who, as we now know, was no better than a criminal?”
“He fought bravely at the Battle of the Cowshed,” said somebody.
“Bravery is not enough,” said Squealer. “Loyalty and obedience are more important. And as to the
Battle of the Cowshed, I believe the time will come when we shall find that Snowball’s part in it
was much exaggerated. Discipline, comrades, iron discipline! That is the watchword for today. One
false step, and our enemies would be upon us. Surely, comrades, you do not want Jones back?”
6. The Speech Thesaurus …….
– This was a speech in which Squealer was made to talk to the animals about the
new arrangement and make them comfortable about it . The new arrangement
was that there wouldn’t be any Sunday morning meeting the flag hoisting and
singing of beasts of England . In this speech he highlighted the deep labour
napoleon had taken upon himself by taking the huge and heavy responsibility of
leadership .he highlighted that braver isn’t enough for commanding a group like
Snowball , having iron discipline, loyalty and obedience are more important like
napoleon implemented .
8. Language ….. Shakespeare !!
– Pun
The whole story is a pun on Russian Revolutuin with the speech being a pun on
many a speech spoken by Stalin and this being circulated by the Russian press . The
press is squealer and the leader is napoleon . The speech is also one such example
of it . The flag is also a example .
– Direct /Indirect
The speech is direct as it is narrated by Squealer directly to the people . Napoleon
did not tell the words through Squealer but he ordered him to speak . So thus it is
directly being told to the animals by Squealer
9. – Figures of speech
1. Personification – there is heavy use of personification and this is because the
animals speaking and understanding English is a big personified effect to lend it a
feel of animal rebellion really taking place .
2. Hyperbole – this because the whole speech is exaggerated by the pig and animals
containing communication skills
3. Imagery(Auditory & Visual )- there is heavy use of imagery as the whole speech can
be imagined whilst heard and this lends it imagery .
– The theme is persuasive and serious .
– The language structure and vocabulary are simple .
10. – Imagery :-
The imagery in the speech is very strong and there is usage of Visual and
Auditory imagery which lend it a atmosphere of persuasiveness and this is achieves by
the question of whether by questioning the words of squealer and law of napoleon they
want Mr Jones back .
– Tone :-
The tone is Dark and Serious due to the fact it contains the element of comeback of
Jones who is disliked by everyone . This element also created the sense of
Persuasiveness .
– Mood:-
The mood is the same as the tone with the reader experiencing serious and
persuasiveness with the impact of personification. This is achieved the non - ability of
believing that a pig can use the effect of a politician which it supposedly is .
12. Biblography
– Own text !!
– Google Images
– And the speech is from an ebook version of animal farm taken from the website
