3. In the novel "Animal farm" by George Orwell, it uses allegory in the Russian
revolution, but this time George Orwell uses animals to represent the humans. To
characters in the novel takes role as the leaders of the farm.
Snowball would be referred to as Leon Trotsky because he is smart and
idealistic, he wants to make life better for others and was chased away by Napoleons
dogs just like how Trotsky was just away by Joseph Stalin's KGB. Napoleon would be
Joseph Stalin because he was not a good speaker, was brutal and selfish. He only
cared about the ambition for his power. Both Snowball and Napoleon had a reputation
of getting things done their own way. They both have their own methods in organizing
the farm, both wanted to be leader but only one of them could. Snowball uses lot’s of
effective methods, Taught the animals how to speak human language enable for the
animals to know what’s happening around them, he also read the “Julius Caesar” to
protect the farm by using his tactics, he also educated the animals using Napoleons
methods. However, Napoleons rules seem to be much more stricter, he spread the
news of the rebellion around the neighborhood to encourage to animals to join his
rebellion, he also told that animals that he should be leader instead of Snowball for the
animals to support his ideas. Napoleon always used Squealer to give out speeches
because has perfect use of rhetoric language. He covers up napoleons methods for the
animals to follow. Squealer says thats if they don’t follow those methods, that Jones
would come back. So all animal had to follow the methods. Another effective methods
he uses is that he organizes all animals into committees. Whenever something would
just go wrong Napoleon would blame it all on Snowball so that the animal won’t be
against his leadership.
