Ellen and her sister Gina were playing with their dog Selena in their yard on a sunny afternoon, playing their favorite game of monkey in the middle. When their mother told them it was time to walk Selena, the dog ran through the open gate. Worried that their mother would be mad and that Selena might get lost, Ellen and Gina got permission from their mother to go look for Selena and called for her but she did not come. They went to their neighbor Mrs. Ring for help, and together they were able to find Selena by the end of the day.

2. One sunny afternoon Ellen and her older sister Gina where playing with their favorite ball outside. “Play with your dog Selena,” mom told Ellen and Gina. Selena was white and she likes playing catch. Ellen and Gina where playing monkey in the middle with Selena. It was their favorite game to play. So Ellen and Gina where on the sides and Selena was in the middle.

3. And they where playing on their yard and mom was cooking their favorite food macaroni & cheese. The gate was open and it was time to walk Selena so Selena ran out the gate and Ellen and Gina was so worried if mom will be mad an maybe if Selena got lost.

4. So they told their mom if they can go and find Selena. Mom said “ok” so they ran out the gate and called Selena “Selena, Selena” but Selena did not pay attention. Ellen and Gina ran to their neighbor Mrs. Ring. They said “Mrs. Ring can you come and help us get Selena? She ran away from the gate.”

5. So Mrs. Ring got out of her house and helped them. When it was the end of the day and Selena’s walk was over and now finely Ellen and Gina got Selena and went home. And they always closed the gate.
