The Liceo "Sofonisba Anguissola" was originally founded as the "Regia Scuola Normale Complementare" in Cremona, Italy in 1883. It was later renamed the "Istituto 'Sofonisba Anguissola'" in 1923 after an education reform. The school is named after the famous Cremonese painter Sofonisba Anguissola. In 1999/2000 the school's teacher training programs ended and it became the "Liceo Socio-psico-pedagogico" and "Liceo Sociale", offering Communication, Music, and Bio-medical programs. 1. Liceo “Sofonisba Anguissola”
The Institute “Sofonisba Anguissola” was born as “Regia Scuola Normale Complementare”, then in
1883 it was bought by the “Comune di Cremona”.
In 1923 the ”Istituto “Sofonisba Anguissola” was named “Regio Istituto Magistrale” after Gentile's
reform.
In the years 1999/2000 the masterly cours of our school ended, and with them a long story of
tradition and culture.

2. The heritage and the cultural luggage of formative experience of the “Istituto Magistrale” went on to
the “Liceo Socio-psico-pedagogico” and “Liceo Sociale”, in his three options: Communication,
Musical and Bio-medical.

3. Liceo “Daniele Manin”
● The “Liceo Ginnasio Statale Daniele Manin” of Cremona has an ancient history that goes back
to the start of the 17th
century, when in the building there was the Jesuits college.
● In 1773 it went trough some heavy changes under austrian rule.
● Later in 1818 and 1819,the school is divided between gymnasium and Lyceum.
● Under the effect of another reform, in 1850, is formed the Liceal Gymnasium.

4. ● the Manin, Nowdays, with the “classical and Linguistic” field of studies,it is
proposed as a school for everyone who wants to undertake this challenge,
that requires: cultural curiosity, listening capabilities and concentration, and
knowledge of the basic subjects.
