This is an android based application for smart parking ppt. in this slide I tried to discover Idea of booking vacant place easily. This Idea can save time and money. Introduction Finding a vacant parking space nowadays is time and fuel consuming. This problem may cause drivers to get frustrated and eventually improper parking will appear. This will at the end causing a traffic jam in the parking space and accident might occur. Hence, This project help solves the problem statement above as users get to choose the parking space and this will feed the information of vacant spaces.

Abstract - Finding a vacant parking space in a large crowded parking facility takes long time. In this paper, we propose a navigation method that minimizes the parking time based on collected real-time positional information of cars. In the proposed method, a central server in the parking facility collects the information and estimates the occupancy of each parking zone. Then, the server broadcasts the occupancy data to the cars in the parking facility. Each car then computes a parking route with the shortest expected parking waiting time and shows it to the driver. We conducted simulation-based evaluations of the proposed method using a realistic model based on trace data taken from a real parking facility. We confirmed that the proposed method reduced parking waiting time by 20%–70% even with low system penetration.

This data will be used to create a solution, such as a digital information board displaying available spaces by floor and type, to reform the parking system and maximize efficiency. Further work is still needed to implement a solution.

The world is rapidly changing with the introduction
of innovative technologies to meet the ever-changing demands
of consumers. This research focuses mainly on the study of
the actual taxi system in Mauritius to manage their everyday
activities in an efficient way to earn a good and a decent
earning. With over 6000 drivers in Mauritius, this has caused
a major issue in the transportation sector. According to the
survey conducted in Shanghai, China, the percentage of
empty miles ((total miles-service miles)/total miles) for taxi is
32%, while the waiting time for passenger may extend more
than 1 hour in the rush hours at the worst. The taxi employed
under this actual system is rarely capable of reaching the
customers in the shortest possible time. This is an exigent
problem actually confronting current taxi systems. Thus, an
alternative Interactive Taxi dispatching system is proposed,
whereby the system will be fast and cost effective to transfer
the customer’s request from the operator to the most suitable
vehicle. This dispatch ensures that customers are served
within the shortest time, resulting in satisfying customer’s
demands. Since existing taxi system are working manually,
there is a need to have automatic taxi trip system which
would be easy and efficient. [14] Therefore, the aim of this
paper is to research the pertinence of the use of an Interactive
Taxi Dispatching System as an alternative mode for taxi
drivers to easily be connected with their riders.

a major issue in the transportation sector. According to the
survey conducted in Shanghai, China, the percentage of
empty miles ((total miles-service miles)/total miles) for taxi is
32%, while the waiting time for passenger may extend more
than 1 hour in the rush hours at the worst. The taxi employed
under this actual system is rarely capable of reaching the
customers in the shortest possible time. This is an exigent
problem actually confronting current taxi systems. Thus, an
alternative Interactive Taxi dispatching system is proposed,
whereby the system will be fast and cost effective to transfer
the customer’s request from the operator to the most suitable
vehicle. This dispatch ensures that customers are served
within the shortest time, resulting in satisfying customer’s
demands. Since existing taxi system are working manually,
there is a need to have automatic taxi trip system which
would be easy and efficient. [14] Therefore, the aim of this
paper is to research the pertinence of the use of an Interactive
Taxi Dispatching System as an alternative mode for taxi
drivers to easily be connected with their riders.
