Before beginning their design work, the group researched conventions of alternative rock digipaks and posters. They decided on a theme of city landscapes for their poster and digipak. The group challenged conventions by using a photograph of the artist on the front cover of the digipak, though some mainstream alternative rock artists do this. They received positive feedback despite breaking this convention. They also kept the artist's outfit consistent across the digipak, video, and poster to help audiences identify the performer.
