3. XXL magazine is slightly different form VIBE, however
they still belong to the genre of hip-hop.XXL tend to take
on intelligent, bright responsible individuals within the
hip hop world, that have a huge passion for music
alongside the wealthy lifestyle they live. They want to
keep up the positive, motivating image created by hip-
hop therefore prefer to take on those who are already a
success within the music industry, where as VIBE like new
individuals that are offering the same, however have not
been as highly recognized as those who currently are in
the world of music. As the culture continues to
evolve, XXL is there to deliver to readers the most
progressive view of the music and the culture
surrounding it.

6. Audience analysis VIBE/XXL
The print screens above, help me to identify who my
target audience are, alongside I'm aware of the codes
and conventions used by hip-hop magazines. Both
magazines are mainly purchased by males. I will also be
basing my magazine on males, however I will also
include a female model. XXL and VIBE both have a
multicultural audience, and I plan on doing the same by
having the two of my models from different ethnic
backgrounds for customers to feel attracted and
comfortable in purchasing the magazine from all
different ethnic backgrounds.
