• Bauer Media Group is a large European-based media company which is
headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. Bauer manages more than 600 magazines,
over 400 digital products and 50 radio and TV stations around the world.
• In 1875 the lithographer Ludolph Bauer made the foundations for the media
company with a print shop for business cards in Hamburg. Bauer Media Group
entered the UK with the launch of Bella magazine in 1987. Bauer Media also
broadcasts TV music channels including The Box TV and 4Music. Bauer own well
known English radio stations such as KISS FM UK and Magic since 2007.
• Bauer targets an audience from ages 18 – 55+ and also for males or females or
both. For around 18 year olds, the magazines are more gossip and to do with
singers and bands, so for a 18 year old girl, the magazine would aim to gossip about

Million before being bought back in 1998 for £142 Million and in 2001, Chris
Anderson left Future. In 2009, future loss 61% in profits mostly because of the US
advertisement market.

related subjects, so the audience would be for people who like PlayStation or Sony.
