ABSTRACT
PROJECT PHASE -I
Accidents can be dangerous and costly events, with the potential to cause harm to people and damage to
property. An IoT - based accident detection system aims to reduce the impact of accidents by detecting and
reporting them in real-time, enabling emergency services to respond more quickly and effectively. The
system uses a variety of sensors and devices to detect accidents and transmit alerts to a central control center
or directly to emergency services. It can also collect data on the causes of accidents, helping to identify
trends and implement preventative measures. By improving response times and safety, an IoT-based accident
detection system has the potential to save lives and reduce costs associated with accidents. The goal of an
IoT-based accident detection system is to minimize the negative impacts of accidents through real-time
detection and reporting. By using a range of sensors and devices, the system is able to identify accidents as
they occur and alert emergency services to the location and severity of the incident. In addition to improving
response times and safety, the system can also gather data on the causes of accidents, allowing for the
implementation of preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of future accidents. By utilizing IoT
technology, an accident detection system has the potential to save lives, reduce costs, and improve overall
safety.
OBJECTIVE
PROJECT PHASE -I
• The primary objectives of an IoT-based accident detection system are to improve response time, safety, and
transportation safety. By using IoT technology to detect accidents in real-time and alert emergency services immediately,
the system can help to reduce the time it takes for help to arrive at the scene, potentially saving lives.
• The system can also help to prevent further accidents from occurring by alerting authorities to the situation and allowing
them to take appropriate action. Additionally, the system can collect data on the causes of accidents to identify trends and
implement preventative measures, reducing the likelihood of future accidents. Finally, by improving response time and
safety, the system can help to reduce the costs associated with accidents and improve overall safety on the roads and
highways.
• An IoT-based accident detection system has a number of objectives, including improving response time, safety, and
transportation safety. By providing real-time information about the location and nature of an accident, the system can
help emergency services to respond more effectively, potentially saving lives.
• The system can also reduce the time it takes for medical care to be provided to victims, improving their chances of
survival. In addition, the system can improve communication between emergency services and hospitals, allowing for
more efficient coordination of resources. By collecting data on the causes of accidents, the system can help to identify
trends and implement preventative measures, such as improving transportation infrastructure and safety measures.
• Overall, the goal of an IoT-based accident detection system is to reduce the negative impacts of accidents, including loss
of life, injury, property damage, and disruption to transportation networks

DEVIATION FROM THE BASE PAPER
According to the base paper we have considered, it transmits the location which contains the latitude and longitude where the collision has happened and also it
requires the smartphone application to receive message when collision occurs only to a guardian. In case of our model, it transmits the exact location of the accident
spot and sends call and message to their guardian, text-to-speech message with a call to the concerned party.
Base Paper Our Model

PROJECT PHASE -I DEVIATION FROM THE BASE PAPER According to the base paper we have considered, it transmits the location which contains the latitude and longitude where the collision has happened and also it requires the smartphone application to receive message when collision occurs only to a guardian. In case of our model, it transmits the exact location of the accident spot and sends call and message to their guardian, text-to-speech message with a call to the concerned party. Base Paper Our Model • It transmits the location which includes the latitude and longitude of the spot. • It transmits the exact location of the place where collision has occurred. • It requires smartphone application to receive messages. • It does not require any smartphone applications in order to receive messages and call. • The message was only sent to the guardian. • The message will be sent to their respective guardian, hospital, police station. • Only the message was sent. • Both message and call, along with text-to- speech will be implemented.
