This document presents an FPGA-based arrhythmia detection system designed to identify second-degree AV block, a type of cardiac arrhythmia that can lead to serious health issues if untreated. The system processes ECG signals, utilizes morphological filtering, and Haar discrete wavelet transform (DWT) techniques to enhance signal accuracy and effectively detect QRS complexes indicative of arrhythmias. Results demonstrate the successful implementation and robustness of the detection system validated through simulations and testing with MIT-BIH database ECG signals.
