Creation of POA, ASN and invoice documents as per Alcoa requirements. To implement this we need
to add separate process for creating EDI documents.
A primary objective of the Alcoa-Quadrem initiative is to eliminate rework on both sides of the
process. By converting to electronic transmission of documents, the expectation is that all
documents will match from the PO through to the invoice, which will serve to mitigate the number of
discrepancies that can occur in the current process. When discrepancies do arise, they are identified
and resolved at the front end of the process rather than after the fact. It will also bring consistency
to transactions between Alcoa and our supplier as well as create a document audit trail to help
ensure the timely transaction of documents.
