 Project: MERCHANT BACK-END (SETTLEMENT) –The process of settling of the transaction is
nothing but the SETTLEMENT and the later phase which is FUNDING where actual funds are
transferred to the merchant related accounts has also been incorporated by our TEAM.
 Client name: FDCS (FIRST DATA COMMERCIAL SERVICES ) - First Data is a global technology
and payments processing leader, serving more than 6 million merchant locations, thousands of card
issuers and millions of consumers worldwide. Whether the choice of payment is a gift card, a credit or
debit card or a check, First Data securely processes the transaction and harnesses the power of the
data to deliver intelligence and insight for its customers.
 In other words , first data is processing the transactions on behalf of the merchants i.e. banks are
outsourcing their further( after card has been swiped at particular merchant location ) transaction
processing to FIRST DATA.

in the business rules and procedures with the upcoming changes and analyze the loopholes.
