Even when I was in high school I had always known that a traditional college was not for me, so
throughout the years I always thought, “well maybe I should find a school that works for me.” I al-
ways found the usual reasons to put it off...I couldn’t afford school, I didn’t have time to fit it in,
etc. Finally, I just decided that now was the time so I started looking online for a school that would
fit in my life including working a full-time midnight shift job. Luckily, I found Allen School and they
were a blessing from day one. The staff made me feel like I belonged there and it took no time at
all to become a student. The classes were well paced and clearly defined. I felt at ease with my fel-
low students right away and the teachers and support staff were great. If I ever had questions or
problems I always knew that someone was just a phone call or email away and would work with me
if I ever needed it.
I am ready to start looking for my new career and I have Allen School to thank for that. Before I at-
tended school I had never written a professional resume, or been prepared to go for an actual inter-
view but I now know that I am prepared to put my best foot forward. Allen School not only gave me
the education I knew I wanted but they also helped me to learn a little more about myself.
