2. Eighty-8 Social Media Blog Banner
My blog banner represents
constants in my life and
social media. Eighty-eight
is the year I was born, and
the number 8 is a
consistent number in my
life. Both my husbands
birthday and mine are in
August; as well the fall on
days with an 8. The blurbs
coming from the letters
represent all different kinds
of social media outlets.
They also go along with the
color scheme that usually is
with the specific media site.
3. Blog Tour
Banner & blog name look a little
modern with some 3D accents.
Streamlines into a modern blog
theme.
Blog Headlines are in
bold uppercase to catch
attention quickly.
Comments & dates are
easy to see on the left
sidebar.
4. My Widgets & Badges
My 3 Facebook pages.
Eighty8 Social Media: Page made for class blog. I never really
posted anything
Alisha Leigh Photography : My photography business
Facebook to promote myself.
Home At Eight: To promote my personal Home blog.
My twitter page:
which is rarely used.
My YouTube
channel.
My beloved Pinterest. I
am on here more than any
person should ever be…
A very rarely used flikr,
I should start using
this more.
5. LinkedIn
I found this social outlet to be
more fun than I thought. I am not
sure if it is because I know it will
help me in the future, or because I
can connect with family that don’t
use anything else. Also a lot of my
moms cartoonist buddies have
contacted me, and in the design
world that alone can be priceless
networking. I am hoping to work
for Cartoon Network one day, so I
know having this profile will put
me at an advantage.
6. Blurbs & such

I commented on German’s blog post about finally getting
a “forever” student. It reminded me a lot of my
back in social media. I can relate in that it is a lot to take in
grandparents and how they always are in school for
sometimes.
something, even after earning their PhD’s in education.
7. By far the best…
My absolute favorite discussion was about my newest
favorite website, Pinterest. This is an artists haven for
sure. You can bounce ideas off of one another, but
through photos. It seems that more people relate
through photos and sometimes can show their point
rather than just typing out a paper about it. This
infographic shows just how fast Pinterest has grown
in the last two years to majoring in the top three of
its’ social media category. I would recommend it to
anyone to try. I know I love it, and am searching it
everyday for something new. I think their color
scheme has gotten to me as well, red has become a
new favorite color.
