One of the greatest challenges to developing an API is ensuring that your API lasts. After all, you don’t want to have to release and manage multiple versions of your API just because you weren’t expecting users to use it a certain way, or because you didn’t anticipate far enough down the roadmap. In this session, we’ll talk about the challenge of API Longevity, as well as ways to increase your API lifecycle including having a proper mindset, careful design, agile user experience and prototyping, best design practices including hypermedia, and the challenge of maintaining persistence.

What serverless means for enterprise appsSumit Sarkar
There’s a new approach to app development ripe with misconceptions and more buzzwords to translate to business sponsors. Industry analysts call it serverless, but it’s also known as backend as a service (BaaS), function as a service (FaaS), cloud-native architectures, or microservices—just to name a few. Whatever you call it, this approach is giving developers new freedom to focus on frontend functionality and deliver better, more innovative user experiences and ultimately establish value faster. Let’s discuss the pros and cons of serverless in enterprise architectures.
Deep-Dive: How Can APIs Help You Innovate? (Partner Ecosystems)Apigee | Google Cloud
You don’t have to be a big enterprise to succeed in the digital economy. Establishing an ecosystem of partners is a powerful way to access valuable external innovation—and create apps you might never have imagined on your own APIs. Even small teams can innovate quickly and build ecosystem momentum.
In this webcast, we’ll examine how a partner enablement model upgrades your ability to build ecosystems.

Have you heard of Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) yet? It may be viewed as a simple equation, IPA = BPA (Business Process Automation) + RPA (Robotics Process Automation) .
BPA represents the long standing traditional way of automating processes over the years using technology to streamline activities and tasks and RPA being the emerging technology that seeks to employ Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to extract repetitive and mundane handled by human actors to that of ro-“bots” who’s job it is to improve efficiencies and reduce potential errors and omissions.
In this webinar, we show you various cross sections of approaches especially around the Microsoft Stack and Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s) like K2, on how you can achieve rapid success within your organization with a combination of what you may already own and what you can easily acquire to take your work processes to the next level.

First Steps with Globus Compute Multi-User EndpointsGlobus
In this presentation we will share our experiences around getting started with the Globus Compute multi-user endpoint. Working with the Pharmacology group at the University of Auckland, we have previously written an application using Globus Compute that can offload computationally expensive steps in the researcher's workflows, which they wish to manage from their familiar Windows environments, onto the NeSI (New Zealand eScience Infrastructure) cluster. Some of the challenges we have encountered were that each researcher had to set up and manage their own single-user globus compute endpoint and that the workloads had varying resource requirements (CPUs, memory and wall time) between different runs. We hope that the multi-user endpoint will help to address these challenges and share an update on our progress here.

Understanding Globus Data Transfers with NetSageGlobus
NetSage is an open privacy-aware network measurement, analysis, and visualization service designed to help end-users visualize and reason about large data transfers. NetSage traditionally has used a combination of passive measurements, including SNMP and flow data, as well as active measurements, mainly perfSONAR, to provide longitudinal network performance data visualization. It has been deployed by dozens of networks world wide, and is supported domestically by the Engagement and Performance Operations Center (EPOC), NSF #2328479. We have recently expanded the NetSage data sources to include logs for Globus data transfers, following the same privacy-preserving approach as for Flow data. Using the logs for the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) as an example, this talk will walk through several different example use cases that NetSage can answer, including: Who is using Globus to share data with my institution, and what kind of performance are they able to achieve? How many transfers has Globus supported for us? Which sites are we sharing the most data with, and how is that changing over time? How is my site using Globus to move data internally, and what kind of performance do we see for those transfers? What percentage of data transfers at my institution used Globus, and how did the overall data transfer performance compare to the Globus users?
