Razorfish Scrum for Teams and Organizations Software Architect Conference 2013Razorfish
Razorfish Scrum for Teams and Organizations Software Architect Conference 2013. If you’ve ever worked on a software project, this question should sound familiar. You’ve spent time rewriting schedules, cutting features and explaining The Mythical; Man-Month, the widely cited 1975 software bible. Its central principle is the slightly counterintuitive idea that adding manpower to a software project slows delivery. This may make you wonder what will speed up projects. Consider examining your tools and processes to see if there’s a faster way of getting things done. In this talk I will propose a cross-disciplinary process of applying scrum on your projects.
This 1 day, hands-on, workshop will introduce the processes and workflows necessary to manage a Business Intelligence team in a flexible, iterative and agile manner. Through standard agile management methods (Scrum, Kanban and Test-Driven Development), this workshop will provide you with the tools to manage your workflow, BI development, demand management, and customer engagement.
The goal of this workshop is to expose you to different ways of working and give you potential tactics and techniques to improve your BI project delivery.

Management of stakeholders within Agile ProjectsPierre Hervouet
Stakeholder as defined in PMBOK Guide, are any people or groups, who will be impacted by or have an impacts on the project. It is broad term that includes people in the role of customer, sponsor and/or business representative as well as project manager, development team any vendor involved in the projects and other people in the organization affected by the work of the projects or its results, including the product end users.
The stakeholder engagement is absolutely essential for any projects, and particularly in an Agile project.
We will see that stakeholders’ engagement is embedded in the heart of agile practices (taking the example of Scrum framework)
During this presentation we will review or discover the Agile values & principles, some agile practices that improve the stakeholders’ engagements.

Scaling Agile to the Enterprise: 5 Secrets to Unlocking the Strategic Value o...Atlassian
Let’s face it – scaling agile is hard. As organizations move beyond the adoption of scrum/lean at the team level and look to harness the power of agility throughout the enterprise, the skills, processes and tools needed to thrive change. New stakeholders at the product, program, portfolio, and executive levels become intimately linked to the work being done; new frameworks get introduced to support a systems approach across hundreds of teams; and new tools are required to support the visibility, alignment, and collaboration needed across multiple portfolios.
Join Scott Blacker, Head of Product for Jira Align, to learn why some of the world’s largest companies are adopting agile at the enterprise level, what secret weapons they deploy to overcome some of the most difficult aspects of scaling agile, and how Jira Align has helped some of these companies thrive in their mission to become a truly agile enterprise.
I Thought YOU Were Flying the Plane: Preventing Projects from Falling Out of ...TechWell
One of the most cherished concepts of the Agile Manifesto is valuing individuals and interactions over processes and tools. Within this idea is the implicit assumption that individuals innately know how to interact. Dramatic lessons from aviation suggest otherwise. During the mid-1960s the frequent crashes of perfectly good aircraft alarmed the world’s airlines. Investigators discovered nothing lacking in the pilot’s “stick and rudder” skills; these accidents were the result of the flight crew’s inability to work as a team. Steve Adolph shares four leadership roles necessary for well managed communications in software development—Sheltering to create quiet, focused time needed to get the job done; Supporting to cover the backs of others; Boundary Spanning to connect the silos of communications; and Drum Beating to prevent communications from grinding to a halt. Some individuals are blessed with “natural leadership” talents, but, no worries, these skills can be learned. Join Steve to discover how.
Data-Driven Decisions in an Agile EnvironmenteazyBI
Building complex eazyBI reports might be difficult. What data should you pull into eazyBI? What calculations do you need? What might really be useful in reports? What wizardry is required to turn MDX into beautiful charts and graphs?
Team performance, project quality, team capacity and even funnel management, we give our teams all the information they need to focus their decisions on the right things.
