This document summarizes the results of a study on using electronic communication channels to alert the public about child abductions in Switzerland. The study found that: 1) SMS alerts are currently the fastest way to spread information about an abduction to the public within an hour, with nearly 60% of subscribers opening the SMS immediately on their smartphones. 2) While opening an SMS alert, only 20% of subscribers will open a link to provide more information, showing limited willingness to engage further. 3) Over 90% of respondents now have smartphones, through which almost 90% completed the online survey, indicating that mobile internet use is increasing rapidly. 4) Social media like Facebook are not well-su
