This document discusses how ordinary people created the extraordinary Akshardham monument in India. It outlines some of the monumental challenges of the project, including carving over 300,000 stones by hand and the scale of the project which would have taken 35-40 years to complete through traditional means. Through reverse planning and training 6,000 additional artisans, as well as innovations to streamline processes, the project was completed in just 5 years, turning an ordinary group of people into extraordinary builders.
