Ako Ōtautahi - Learning City Christchurch’s
vision is for a coordinated, equitable and
future-ready city where learning is
accessible for everyone.
WHY WE EXIST
● Lack of acknowledgment of and unequal visibility, to learning
opportunities beyond traditional schooling and evaluation systems.
● Those with less social capital do not have the same access to
learning opportunities.
● Predicted technological, demographic and global change increases
the urgency for us to activate new and more equitable approaches
to learning.
