Description:
The Basel project within Nordea bank involves implementation of the Basel III guidance
in calculating the capital reserve to be maintained in the bank and reporting to FSA. It involves
getting data from various source systems and processing the data (ETL) in such a way, so that
the BASEL III rules can be performed (SAP BA) on it. The calculated data are used to populate
reports; these reports were used for several purpose such as internal reporting, reporting to
FSA etc...
Roles and Responsibilities:
As Functional tester,
 Involved in testing the functional implementation of the intended rule in the existing
solution
 Involved in creating Test plan, Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test scripts
 Involved in executing ETLs to load data into SQL tables
 Involved in writing queries to check the quality of the data and to check the
implementation
 Using HP Quality Center for storing, maintaining the test repository, bug tracking and
reporting
 Created Unix scripts to automate the process of mock data creation and to exploit
different scenarios
 Created Presentation to explain the testing performed for the particular change.
